I really don’t know how it’s 4.4 stars. Maybe it’s the fake profiles. I really don’t know what’s going on with restaurants on Farmington ave in Hartford ct. this is the second restaurant that me and my wife been too with a roach in our food. We Really hope that the inspectors aren’t getting paid to have a (A) in they’re window. Plus we had paid $4.00 for alittle bowl of salsa. Last but not lease. Please watch Lina that’s ordering your food. She would charge you extra. Then we had told them that weren’t paying for the food and if he was high. So not to disturb his establishment and the few customers. So we had paid without eating. How nice are we? This is the Receipt to prove it.
I prefer this Mexican restaurant to other Mexican ? restaurants. Love their Nacho Supreme. It is one of my favorite meals. My family sometimes order the Taco Meal. Everything is always fresh and delicious. Owners and staff are very friendly and courteous. The restaurant is clean and neat. Great ambiance.
Food did tasted amazing but every order was mixed with the other. I asked for shrimp but got steak, my husband order steak and got shrimp, my friend ordered chicken and got pork and my daughter asked for no beans nachos and got extra beans everywhere ? she waited longer than us for food so she didn't want to wait more so had to pluck out the beans as much as she could.
Although the restaurant is a hole in the wall, the food was fresh, delicious, and generously sized. The service was quick and friendly. I went on an early weekend evening and didn't have a problem finding a table, but by the time I left, all tables were full and people were waiting to be seated. I will definitely be returning to try out other items on the menu!
I have be eating here for over 20 years and the food is always amazing. I feel like I am in Mexico when I eat inside. I am an amateur home chef and this is my favorite place to eat when I decide to take a night off from cooking at home. Bucket list restaurant.
The food is very good. Check your bill carefully, they over charge above listed menu price, and then sales tax. This has happen many times. The charge to my account has also been more than what was signed for. They will rip you off .
The food was amazing. So full of flavor. They have the best chips and salsa.
I was recommended to go to Monte Alban for the first time in February 2022 and it is now one of my favorite restaurants. The food was delicious, flavorful, well prepared, and very authentic. Also the service and atmosphere is superb. I have already visited again and plan to go back regularly. It’s well worth the visit.
I went to the location to pickup some good food before they closed for the night. I ordered their Mexican Style Steak meal with Rice & Beans + it comes with chips & salsa. What i got for the night was a small serving of the steak w/o any rice nor beans. Then they put extra chips in the bag so I wouldn't notice the weight difference. I drove back acround the corner to restaurant & they was closed before 9pm, because they knew i was gonna come back. Unfortunately I paid cash...dont know what they are going to do tomorrow to fix this. I had to go to China House to buy some rice from them to go with my food. Tonight was a horrible experience, its sad because they have some really good food.
Went in for lunch the week after Christmas. I had a very nice waitress, that’s where the positive of this dining experience ends. I’m sorry but they need a new chef. Absolute worst Mexican food in the city and the floors have this thin layer of grease which makes the floors super slippery. I found the cleanliness of this location to be subpar at best. I tipped the waitress well despite everything cause it’s not her fault and I hope she finds a better place to work. I have no idea how this place has 4 stars.
