Was craving salmon. This place got some great reviews and decided to give it a try. VERY casual, walk-in counter serve, two tables for those just want to sit and enjoy. A bit on the pricey side.Was it worth it? You bet it was! I’d associate my dish with a stew of sorts. The salmon and accompanying veggies amazing flavor and texture. Stewed cabbage with veggies and rice/beans on the side. Magnifiqué!
I had their food for the 1st time today. I purchased the oxtail rasta pasta. The customer service was outstanding!! My Lord the tenderness of the oxtails, nothing hitch up in your teeth, pasta was cooked to perfection. There was flavor in every bite. The portions can't say enough.That rum cake so delicious and moist!!! The drive from New Britain was worth it!!!! Cudos to the Chef!!!! I will be back!! Thanks Tamara H for the recommendation!!
Lawd Jesus!!! #Team Knives&Forks I am truly blessed! Oh my! this meal … the oxtail rasta pasta is beyond excellent. I also tried a slice of rum cake whoooo weeee ? yes yes cake is moist and I could tell there was love in the time taken to soak the ingredients. The price matched the portions considering our current food price market. I actually got the jerk chicken rasta pasta as well for my family so I cannot wait to get their reactions. I may come back and do a part 2. *Thank you Mr Morris and staff* because we need this in Hartford. A1 FiReal! So I frequent Island fishhead restaurant a lot so I know the closing time all to well but , today I was running late and called in a last min order; even though the kitchen was officially closed the chef still took my order after hours, and made one of the best Rasta pasta combos I EVER HAD‼️ the food, the smiles, and wonderful customer service will always make me come back and give them my money freely. They are one of the best Caribbean restaurants in the Hartford area hands down. If you haven’t tried them please do, you won’t be disappointed ☺️?❤️??‼️
OMG what can I say. My daughter and I was greeted with such pleasant smiles & elite customer service (other black owned businesses need to take note). Great customer service is absolutely ESSENTIAL for your business to succeed, and this black-owned business exceeded that hands down. All this happened before tasting their food, which I must say was so fresh & delicious and you get plenty of it. I wish I could give this business 10 stars ?
First time here today and loved it. Food was fresh and amazing . I live an hour away from the Hartford area and there isn’t any Caribbean restaurants near by . This will be my new stop from now on . Very great customer service as well . Thank you !!!
Needless to say I spent $70 on Uber eats yesterday … Rasta shrimp pasta huge portion worth the price and so full of flavor ! Noodles where cooked perfect . Ackee and salt fish was boom banging ! That’s what brought me here today to get breakfast picking up and so happy that we did ! The women running her store was so polite and welcoming ! The atmosphere was smoothing and beautiful ! It did not feel like we were on the ave !!! I had to tip her . She opened the food showed me my food like we were at jerk 48 or something . I found a new spot where I don’t mind spending my money !Highly recommend !
Definitely 5 stars I got the shrimp and salmon rasta pasta it was great the first time it was lacking shrimp and salmon but I just ordered extra today. Can't wait to try out more dishes well worth it.
Disgusting I don’t mind paying extra for Jamaican food but to charge me for a medium and fill up the plate with cabbage and a few pieces of Ackee and mostly vegetables was just wrong. Do not recommend!
Compliments to the chef. This steamed snapper is a must have.
