Amazing , the chicken the fries... Everything is just perfect. I doubt any other place has anything on them. Hartford you have a gem.
The food was delicious. It's made fresh. You could call your order ahead of time if you don't want to wait.
My brother turn me on to them and they lived up to everything he said. Chicken was not greasy and the skin was still crispy when I ate it an hour later. Will definitely going back again.?
Out of town for VDay weekend and saw Daym Drops do a review on this place. I love chicken and the way his chicken looked I said we can't go wrong. Honest review here....from Daym's review I assumed the chicken was made upon arrival. I wasn't expecting to see chicken pieces already made heated under the light. Mind you as soon as we pulled up my husband said this looks like it's going to be dry. I said well Daym's didn't look dry at all. Now back to the heated lamp light chicken. We ordered the chicken plate (3 PCs of chicken, fries & roll) and the guy dropped the fries. While we're waiting I'm looking at the chicken and the skin is looking dry and not crunchy and crispy. When Daym got his chicken his had to have been freshly cooked!!! Because our chicken was no where tasty as he described. The guy packed our bag, they don't ask you what PCs you would like to have. Anyway we get back to our destination which is 5 mins away, open our box and it's loaded with fries to where you can't see the chicken lol. We had 2 packs of ketchup, and no hot sauce. Now I'm repeating what hubby said about this looks like a dry meal. Parts of the chicken was juicy but other parts were hard due to us having lamp heated chicken. If I were to come back to this establishment, I would make sure that the chicken is freshly cooked. But I doubt I'll be back to this place. I'd rather have a piece of fried chicken w/ jojos from Chester's
This place is Fantastic!, its has been around for some time and same owner. Service is always excellent and food is served hot fresh and on time. Not to mention that the food is DELICIOSO!!!!One of the greats...? Nostalgia and good food ...good combo ?
Absolutely luved it... have been dining there since a Kid, late 80's and the food/recipe is still as it was back when. Sylvia is the Bomb ?
This place is amazing, the chicken is cook perfect and looks beautiful and the taste is awesome. I would give it a try , service was good and everything is cook in front of you.. nothing was greasy ????
It was my first time there but not last by a long shot. 62yrs in business and I'm a 50yr.old Hartford native ashamed that i didn't know about this good eatery. The owner is the sweetest thing known to man!!!

The older women who works here is super sweet and she makes the food with love. She makes the food right in front of you. If you are in a rush to get food, this may not be the place for you. The order takes about 20 minutes. You can place an order on the phone. I ordered 2 chicken platters. 3 pieces of chicken and a lot of fries. The chicken here is the best in the area without including big franchises. My only regret was not getting the 8 piece instead of the platter. You get more chicken.
