Love The Soup Girl! I usually pick up soups from their refrigerated case or at farmers markets when I see them. Lots of great vegetarian options and always enough variety that everyone could find something they’d like. The soups also freeze well if you buy a bunch of them.
The customer service was excellent. It was challenging to decide on a soup but the young African American lady at the counter was patient and answered my questions. The soup was excellent, and the bread pudding was tasty! Will definitely return when I am back in Hamden.
Ostensibly, I travel to Hamden to see family, really though I go for the soup at Soup Girl - I've tried many of their soups and they have all been delicious.The shop is pleasant and clean and the staff or polite. Best for takeout.
Such beautiful, wholesome, hearty soups. I am sick this week & my daughter brought me 3 different homemade soups from here . All amazing & so healthy & healing ♥️
Delectable delicious soup. Highly recommend the chicken and dumplings soup, as well as the white bean soup. Could not ask for better soup when you’re feeling down. Give the soup to your sickly friends to heal their bodies and spirits.

Purchased a soup bowl from their fridge and they heated it up for me because I was looking to eat nearby. Chose the Tuscan bean - it was wonderful. Oyster crackers were included and they were wonderful on the soup too. Lunch for less than $10, nothing to complain about!
Went on a Sunday for the first time. Apparently there is no hot soup on Sunday's. Sad
Delicious, magical soups! Great selection of hot and ready to eat or refrigerated soups to stash in the fridge. Always a nice healthy and allergy conscious soup or two, but also sometimes just hearty, wonderful comfort soups. The shop has some desserts and treats and also a few thoughtful household items that would make nice gifts.
