Excellent subs, the delicious bread they use really makes these sandwiches stand out.
They close at 9pm. Called at 8pm to make sure there is plenty of time to make my order. “Im sorry, we shut the grill down for the night”. “We are only doing cold sandwiches”. Please put that on your website so your customers are aware. It’s not like i called at 8:55p. So disappointing.
Best sub I’ve ever had in my life. Great value, great community. The steak and cheese is to die for also the fact that they have a corner store on top of the sub store makes this place unique and special best sub place in Hamden. The giant is so much food get it if you want tons of leftovers ?
I love going to Ray and Mikes. The staff is so welcoming and always have a smile on their face. The food is always delicious and is prepared pretty quickly. They have such a good variety too. My husband loves the steak and cheese sandwich! I get the hot veggie and it’s out of this world! Highly recommend
Been living in CT and never knew this place was here till a friend recommended it…..boy have I been missing out!! Staff was friendly, fast and efficient. I got the Vermontee and my boyfriend got the Egg Bomb with Avocado. We ended up sharing because they were both so good. Definitely will be returning to this CT gem!!
Chop cheese takes me back to my favorite bronx bodega. This one’s a no brainer ? ?Their philly cheese gives pat’s and geno’s a run for their money. soooo good.Staff is always warm and inviting, and you can tell they take pride in what they do. Ray&mikes is a gem and definitely lives up to the hype

I come to Ray & Mikes not only for the great food, but for the hospitality I feel when I walk in the door. I’m always greeted with a smile, and the service is more than exceptional. The steak and cheese rivals any sandwich in CT, as well as their bacon egg and cheese (can’t forget the bev! Haha). I’m here once a week and don’t see that letting up for a while.
