off the beaten path. really good beer and cider selection. Food was delicious. atmosphere was inviting. You can sit outside as well and enjoy the nice weather ☺️. Will definitely be back
Heated patio was very comfortable! Brunch menu delicious; cauliflower wings though pricey were a table favorite. Fries average, burgers (regular and vegetarian) great. Excellent menu overall, would eat again
As per the reviews, tried the general tsos cauliflower and crispy chickpeas, both great! The size of the cauliflower app was a little small but the flavor was on point, would definitely order again. I had the house-made veg burger for my meal and it was awesome! Everyone I was with enjoyed their meals, as well. Great find!
Pretty good place! The food was very flavorful and nice. I had a pork belly cubano and the flavors were good. The brioche was very buttery and nice and even though the pork belly was fatty, it melted in my mouth. The French fries were also really nice and crispy. We also got a general Tsos cauliflower appetizer and it was good! The shrimp and grits had nice flavors but it was super super salty. The chocolate cake was a nice big serving of it and was very sweet. It just had way too much frosting and was overly sweet. Really nice place!
We arrived and had a short wait, the food is outstanding we ordered the pretzel Buffalo wings and the mikro burger. Margaritas. Us always a great experience. Thank you to Taryn who always goes out of her way to say hi and my favorite guy waiter does too. Love love ❤️
Great find me an my boyfriend were on a strolehaving a walk enjoying the weather an accidentally found the MiKro Depot .. I Absolutely ? by far enjoyed everything about the place I found it to be the best Restaurant/Pub that I have been introduced to in a very long time ⌛. I am so picky when it comes to my food and I was just blown away by the Food being grade A!! was ? hot when served by are waitress whom was fabulous quick on her feet an very polite.. Definitely a favorite place of mine and I will be sure to refer this place to my friends and family ... 5 ?z for me.. THANKSFor a friendly Service and Atmosphere ,Joyful Staff and GRADE FOOD AN ? I have been a customer of Mikro since around 2012. IMO, this is one of the original, great gastro pubs of CT and as recently as today, they never fail to impress me. They were WAY ahead of the craft beer trend and managed to stay relevant and excellent as craft beer fever swept the world. Their sister location Texiko is A++ too.As someone who was drinking craft beer back in the 2000s, (back before most people knew what IPAs were and people laughed at "beer snobs" for liking "weird beer"), you can't have a conversation about the CT beer / gastropub scene without discussing Mikro.Fantastic specials, great regular menu, awesome service, amazing brunch, diverse tap list, what's not to love?
We happened to find a hotel nearby and find the place by accident. If we had known how wonderful it would be…it would have been worth of being a destination by itself. Build in a old train depot. This restaurant was Amazing. Excellent food, great beers, very cool and friendly staff. My wife still talks about the chicken dish she had and I very much appreciated that the beer flight came with a little paper to with the beer names. Definitely worth a side trip if you’re anywhere remotely close. Highly recommend.
Mike’s Depot is a nice place! I love to come here when I’m in the area to have a beer and a snack! The staff and the owners are all great people. The selection of beer on tap is impressive and always changing, the food is not your average fare, very interesting and fun! Highly recommended!
