Had the most delicious banana split ! The ice cream is creamy and delicious. I can only have sugar free and most places have the worst tasting blah sugar free ice cream. They had chocolate almond and it was one of the best I've had! Going back this week for another! Plus their waffle cones are on sale this month. Definitely a treat during this hot weather season

2/23/22 Kelly's Kone offers the seemingly odd combination of soups and/or ice cream in the same building that houses the Glenwood Drive-In.Weird, but it works for some reason.I usually place my dinner order on the Glenwood side, then while waiting for it to be prepared, I'll saunter on over to Kelly's Kone to get a cup of whatever soups they're offering that day.Today, while having lunch with my sister, we decided to save room for an ice cream from Kelly's Kone. So right after finishing lunch at the Glenwood, we walked the 10-15 paces through the open mutual wall the two businesses share, to sample the ice cream for the first time.A good decision!We both selected a cup with two scoops of toasted almond. I d have ordered mine one scoop each of that & chocolate chip ice cream, but they don't offer it. What's THAT about???Anyway, sis and I agreed that the ice cream was really excellent quality and creamy, not too hard or soft, and a nice amount of toasted almond flavor.One star fell off the truck when the server said they don't have chocolate chip ice cream......my favorite flavor.Other than that, I'll not hesitate to try another flavor another time!
This place is great! Our kids saw it on the map after a tournament at the Floyd Little Athletics Center & we had to check it out! 2 days in a row!! Super easy access off the Merritt (rt.15) The staff is super friendly & personable. Lots of flavors, all are rich & delicious even the sorbets.
Always solid. It's either Kelly's, Wentworth's or Claude's man. All three have their strengths. Kelly's has gotten better every year since I've been going. Their flavors are great and creative. Their hot fudge is really good, similar to Wentworth's, maybe not as thick though still just as delicious. The ice cream cakes rock and so do the ice cream cookie sandwiches. I always go for "the good stuff" one of their signature flavors. Also the added bonus of being attached to one of the best burger joints in CT.
