Fabulous cafe! All the food is made to order- with great attention.Service is excellent. They really care that you get your food quickly, hot and that you enjoy it. I met three friends of mine here for lunch. Two of us got the Ultimate Steak and Cheese sandwich and we both thought it was excellent. I also ordered a scone which they heated for me. The whole meal was yummy. The staff was very friendly. I am definitely going back again. Highly recommended!!
Stopped by after our walk up sleeping giant. Little cafe nook that serves up tasty food and delicious bevvies. My friend and I ordered their frozen coffee and my goodness was it good.Definitely worth a stop if you’re around the area!
I have gone to funcles many times and have thoroughly enjoyed it every time, flavor and taste is always amazing and I am always bringing new people to try it out. My parents go almost every weekend because that is just how good it is. The crispy chicken caesar wrap special with the sriracha is phenomenal and I crave it always! Great service, great options and overall a great place for breakfast and lunch! Get the frozen coffee!

I had heard great things about Funcle’s, and I’m so happy we finally made a visit! Their frozen coffee is really a game changer, and my boyfriend loved that his eggs Benny came with prosciutto. It was recommended to me to get the Cali Gal, which was off-menu at the time, but sometimes appears as a special. The combo of avocado, onions, hash brown, and the egg made it a savory, delicious breakfast sandwich that I would definitely order again. Their cinnamon roll and chocolate chip cookie scones were also fantastic! The staff was great, and we were happy to have snagged a table here. Definitely a must-stop if you’re in the Hamden area for breakfast!
Visited on a Sunday late morning. They have a small dining area with kind of a hybrid counter / table service situation. It was packed when we arrived, but tables turned over just after we arrived so we didn't wait long. Menu is familiar with a twist making it a bit more adventurous and interesting than your standard breakfast / lunch fare. What really sets this place apart is the quality of the food. Fried chicken sandwich was incredible, as was the chorizo, egg, and cheese. Might be our go to for a quick, informal brunch moving forward!
The best breakfast burritos ever!! We drive 20 min almost every Sunday to funcles because their home fries are unmatched. My daughter dreams about the milk shakes. So good!
Come here all the time, every one is super nice and food is always good. They keep the menu fresh with specials and the baked goods are always great.
The rooster!!! OMG so so good, it was a special but it should be available everyday! The place itself is a bit small but they have few tables outside. Coffee came out a little colder than I like but no biggie, the Avocado toast was good. Over all a nice little spot for a quick bite.
