I come from Hamden ct an now an have been living in eastlongmeadow mass Italian restaurants suck around here boy I will tell you damattios pizza ? is the best Western mass sucks for pizza I wouldn't feed it to the pigs A #1 FOR NEW HAVEN AN HAMDEN PIZZAS
Food was ok. But staff was very rude.------------------------------------------------------------I ordered take out and came in about 5 minuets after the time I was given for the pizza to be ready. I paid and was told it would be a few minuets more. That was fine; I waited outside and about 5-10 minuets later I came in to ask if the food was ready. There was no one at the front so I waited a minuet inside with another customer behind me. When a staff member came out I quickly tried to ask how much longer it would be, just to be shooed away with a hand gesture. I asked again and was given the same nonverbal response. They obviously just wanted to help the next customer that would pay them and did not care about customer service at all. I usually don't leave reviews, but the gesture was very rude and unnecessary. The staff member could have politely said I'll be right with you, but instead decided to be obnoxious and childish. Don't think I'll be ordering from there again when I can just get better New Haven pizza anyways...
LOVE THEIR PIZZA BUT……If you plan to pay with a debit card let them know when you place your order since they are not too good at letting their customers know. There is a fee if you use a debit card and your order is under $30. Our order was $28 and she told me we had to pay an almost $5 fee WHEN WE ARRIVED TO PICK UP THE PIZZA not even over the phone knowing what the total was. Or could’ve called us back and let us know? Sorry. I live in Hamden and I do NOT carry cash with me. It’s unfortunate but because of that minor inconvenience I will no longer be going to this pizzeria.
Great pizza but $30 card minimum?? And you placed an ATM which tells me you are looking to scam a few extra bucks off already paying customers. Not a step in the right direction
The food is decent, it has been consistent for years. The service is good depending on which host is upfront some are nicer than others.I will say their new policy of a 30$ min for credit card is a little ridiculous.
Super bummed :( … Spent $40 on a large pizza with extra toppings just for it to be inedible. The pizza was undercooked and chewy, the mushrooms on top were definitely undercooked, the sauce was WATERY, and not only that, it didn’t even taste salted, as if they just poured a can of unsalted crushed tomatoes on there. The cheese and toppings literally slid off the pizza! The only reason I ate one slice was because I was starving, but it was genuinely not good. :/I got a cheesecake too which was fine but not much to brag about. Obviously store bought.
Excellent food, chicken parmesan to remember and the pizza has my attention. The service was different, I'm not sure if he was the owner or some retired gentleman in need of extra cash but he made the experience feel automatically Sicilian. Will definitely return, even for take out on my way home from work.
My Friend and I went in for a slice after work....and Itwas Delicious and filling it was a huge slice I had a Meat Lovers and a Ginger ale...very pleasant server as well...I highly recommend..I haven't been there in a while and I'm like dang I have to come more.
Ok what's going on DiMatteos we tried a few more attempts thinking it's a bad day..? The food used to be excellent. I'm sorry, but we realize restaurants still suffering but let bring back the precovid quality...Our meals have not tasted the same or consistently such as your delicious Manhatten Calamari it used to be crispy & breaded and tender not like rubber bands!
