Great food and ambience in such a cool historic spot! We visited after a long day of traveling and exploring Mystic. They were packed but sat us right away even though we were early. Our server Heidi was great and even shared the ghost stories with us. She was also very good about getting my youngest’s order in quickly. I am gluten free and they were very accommodating with the menu. Highly recommend. So happy we found this place!
Everything was amazing! The service, the food, wait time. We were seated right away and the food came out in perfect timing. Our server, Heidi was so nice and treated us so well! She has eaten at this restaurant since she was 8, so she knows how well everything is. The nachos were so good! The best I’ve ever had. I had bread with butter with roasted garlic for the first time, and it didn’t disappoint! I also had the fish and chips which was made to perfection. Lastly, the Xengo cheesecake (I don’t remember the full name, sorry) was AMAZING!!!! With everything for 3 people, it wasn’t too expensive at all! Definitely come eat here and have a great time!
Had the prefixed Easter dinner. Was disappointed that the lamb had sold out but the scallops were my second choice. They were cooked mostly perfectly (one had way less color than I would have liked) but the risotto was amazing. It was honestly the star. It was a great experience and I'd love to go back to try their normal menu
At the end of our work in Mystic, my colleagues and I went to the Captain Daniel Packer Inne for dinner. We started with a drink in the downstairs Pub. The Pub is small but service was prompt and the patrons were friendly. Dinner was upstairs and again service was prompt. We enjoyed the calamari appetizer. I had the scallops and every bite was delicious.
My wife had the Lemon Peppered Chicken, which was perfectly prepared and delicious. I had the Cod--fresh, tender, as tasty as cod can be. Decent, reasonable wine list. Great service. Five stars.
The atmosphere is fun, the people are always friendly, and the food is always amazing. I am never disappointed when I visit this establishment.

The place is amazing - 150 years old. I had fun, went alone and service staff made me feel very comfortable. Food was excellent.
Besides a rather rude waiter the food was over cooked. I got the skewers which were way over priced for a two inch stick but the skimpy three pieces on the stick were dry and burnt. My wife got the salmon and it was extremely dry too. We went at 5:30 and they were not busy at all. So no idea why the service and food fell so short. I was really looking forward to this place too.
