Wanted to love itâ¦.but, my dinner was pretty bad. The tuna tartare tasted off and the roasted chicken wasnât quite cooked properly. I did send it back for more roasting time. Unfortunately, I am now ill from my dinner. My husbandâs meal seemed fine. The service was very good, as was the atmosphere. They do need to work on the kitchen!!!
Love this restaurant. Everyone is so friendly. Food is excellent and there is no one rushing you out the door.

Unfortunately the service was extremely bad. They forgot to seat us and then we barely had a waiter the whole dinner, even though the place was empty by the time we got our food. The food and drinks were good but would have been nice to receive some acknowledgment of the lack of service.
Maybe we caught them on an off night. Ordered the NY strip which was prepared well. The hanger steak was ordered medium rare and came out of the kitchen raw. When I sent it back, they must have put it under a broiler and it came back like beef cubes burned on the outside raw on the inside. The sea bass was completely off and inedible. The risotto the scallops rested on was overcooked like porridge. This was the third time eating at South Bay and most likely the last. It is too bad because they have a dj on Saturdays and a nice atmosphere. Spend your money elsewhere.
