Extremely friendly, staff suggested the best meal and wine. Everything was great.
Had reservations. Seated immediately. Chose to sit inside although they do have an outside patio. Waiter was friendly, service was prompt. He chose a white Greek wine for us which was good. We shared some appetizers…2 different flavors of hummus with pita bread and octopus grilled with onions which was fantastic. 3 of us had bronzino grilled with olive oil and lemon. Amazing. And not one bone in it. 2 fillets in each order. Included were 2 sides One of us had the lamb souvlaki which was also very good. I had the rice pudding for dessert which was tasty. Overall a great dinner although not cheap. About $70 per person with the wine, 3 appetizers , 4 dinners and dessert/coffee. Parking across the street in a lot I would go back
I live in Astoria, Queens: the largest concentration of Athenians outside of Athens. I have some of the greatest Greek cuisine surrounding me in all directions. When I tell you that this cuisine at this miracle spot has the most mind-bendingly DELICIOUS and AWE-INSPIRING food; that it is the tastiest of any I've had ANYWHERE on the eastern seaboard- you should listen. Run, don't walk, to Famous Greek Kitchen in Greenwich. Prepare to have the bar raised to the stratosphere.
Excellent food, clean place. Octopus is the best I've tasted. Attention was also great. Every dish is very tasty....Chef knows his craft.
Enjoyed a nice breakfast with the family here. Food was very good, eggs cooked perfectly. The hostess was kind and noticed my dad was drinking lots of coffee. She even brought over a small thing for him to refill at will. Only ding is lack of mask wearing during a pandemic. No excuse for not wearing a mask right now.
I’ve been going to FGK since I was little and it was known as Soulvaki. They’ve made a lot of changes over the years but I always appreciate it as an option to get fresh, yummy Greek food. Their entrees are pricey but you get a TON of food - I always have to wrap it to go and it’s honestly 3 meals for me. The service is great and everyone is so friendly.
The service is pretty amazing and the food is incredible too. I strongly recommend you try them out if you want some amazing food to eat.
I just think this is beyond overrated and expensive. Menu never changes, staff had an attitude, food is average. Very cheap on things like salad dressing etc for take out.
Food and service was amazing. There was a small problem with the reservation. Its was settled and we all enjoyed evening.
