Doppio is a hidden jem in Greenwich off the Ave. Itâs definitely a place to only eat at during the summer months given the expansive outdoor seating they have. In the colder months aka most of the year Iâd suggest takeout given the small inside and cramped seating. The food is priced for the area but delicious. We had the meatballs to start and the rigatoni alla vodka and shrimp and pasta in pesto. To drink, we had a few espresso martinis. Food was good and the drinks were great. The weather was perfect out so we were comfortable the entire time. We had a reservation but had to wait 15-20 mins for an outside tableâ¦couldâve ate inside but itâs July. Service is terrible. Very slow and understaffed. However, itâs great if you have 2.5 hours to eat and drink. I for one actually loved how I wasnât rushed and forced to get out. It made the $200 tab easier to justify. I may come back but will say Harvest on the Ave is definitely better priced and better with service. Iâd suggest a date night here otherwise look elsewhere.
Poor service
Nice averall. The women greeting us seemed a bit uptight.
Always outstanding! Amazing food and great hospitality. Thank you!
Not great but thought it was worth checking out. We’re not seated until 25 minutes after our reservation, service was mediocre (only got one drink in) and food not much better
Fun casual atmosphere, absolutely amazing food, good cocktails and all homemade pastas - Doppio was great and we will definitely be back. My husband and I shared the arugula salad which was unbelievable, a pasta and a pizza and left happy with leftovers to bring home. Highly recommend!
Great with our nut and sesame allergy
Service was horrible. Hostess had an attitude. 1) Asked to relook at menu after ordering- waiter never brought one. 2) Asked for bread- never came 3) Peppermill was empty 4) During our meal, waiter never stopped by table to check on us. 5) Waiter was handling take out orders at same time as working tables. Our first and last time there.
We sat outside, and our server was very friendly and efficient. The food was delicious. Nice twist to have grilled peaches with the prosciutto appetizer!
We were a party of 5. Some ordered salad to start. Waiter brought the 2 salads and the others’ entrees at the same time. Service was spotty and the noise Level of the music was way too loud. If you’re looking to enjoy the company you’re with…go to Doppio during the week.
