Excellent prices and along with great wide selection - you can’t get better than that in Greenwich - the service was good - though he had a little bit of difficulty speaking English - this is a Chinese owned and operated restaurant hence their prices are cheaper and the food isn’t as detailed and delicate as Japanese owned Japanese restaurant but all in all I was quite impressed so definitely will be back
Not impressed. Sashimi was fresh but that's about all I can say because the rolls were not great. Soups were cold and the side dishes were not good. Staff was nice but dishes came out of the kitchen at the wrong times a d one was even forgotten. Location is nice...... Quality and service needs to be addressed.
Made a reservation but could not get a parking spot - tiny lot with about 5 spots for non-residents. There's another restaurant in the adjacent building with valet parking, but no parking for Bambou. I called the restaurant to ask about parking but the lady who answered the phone said she had no idea where to park. I had to cancel and go elsewhere. Very disappointed.
Did a phone order for 4 people for lunch. Wanted to order the sweetheart special roll for two of the lunches, but they went not available, so I ordered two king Crab with tuna special rolls. We got California rolls instead. Granted, they charged us the correct amount, but after a 2-hour wait the tiny California roll was not enough for lunch. I called and asked if they could deliver 2 of the correct rolls, and we would pay for them, and they told me NO it was my mistake and I should eat what I got, and they hung up on me.Very poor customer service and the California roll was below average.
Sushi was top notch. Some of the best I’ve had in the area. Fish was fresh and buttery as could be.
Ordered General Tso beef and chicken. Beef was so deep fried to the crisp, completely inadeable. The quality of take out has been consistently going down. I've been ordering from here for years!!! Time to stop....
Food- average soggy rice, spicy mayo on each roll and overly saucy everything. Service--- significantly below average. Made us feel we should eat quickly, pay and go. Conclusion- cheap deli ..not a restaurant.
Food is ok, staff has a hard time understanding you or you them.
I live locally and love Asian cuisine. I have dined at Bamboo Asian Tapas in Glenville, CT and ordered take out. While my food when dining in has been very good my experience with take out has been disappointing.1) Food delivered to wrong address. Neighbor had to hope it was us, and delivered to our door.2) Ordered Yellow Tail & Scallion roll and almost choked on a BONE. Not cool!3) Last experience, 6/24th/2021. Brought a large take out order to family, a special celebration for us. My son started to eat his Steamed Lobster roll and stopped to show us the black hair he found in the roll. I was so embarrassed and needless to say no one enjoyed any of their food after that.I will attempt to speak with the Restaurant’s management or owner and expect to be credited for this order. This is outrageous and a health violation.
Our family loves their food!
