My husband and I just tried Alpen Pantry for the first time. It was absolutely phenomenal! My favorite sandwich place in town is Something Natural and this place might beat it for the #1 spot. I am 6 months pregnant and the man behind the counter was super patient and creative helping me choose a non-deli meat sandwich (I went with chicken salad with a lot of veggies on black bread). My husband got the Italian and he was incredibly impressed. All the ingredients are super fresh and the sandwiches are expertly constructed. We will definitely be back!!!!!!!
I recently went here for the first time. I've lived in Greenwich my whole life and can't believe it has taken me this long to discover this absolute GEM. I love when a place focuses on one thing and does it right. For Aplen it's the cold sandwiches and they do it the BEST. The sandwiches are very simple, but details like dressings from scratch, tearing the cold cuts while placing it on the bread, and the finely shredded lettuce make it outstanding. Their "Black Bread", pumpernickel, is soft and moist like cake. I tried 3 of their fan favorites; The Stilton, The Bomber, and The Bearnaise. I honestly can say they were all amazing. I can't wait to go back to try all of their menu. I know their sandwiches sound so basic, I thought that too, but that's what makes it so mind blowing. If you're in the area of Old Greenwich, this is a HAVE TO TRY. If you stop in from this review, tell'em Mike sent you.
LOVE THIS SPOT! So hard to pick a favorite sandwich because they are all so good, but the Gobbler and the classic Italian are usually my go-to's! Also love the new market items they've added. They had some cute gift baskets around holiday time that made for perfect hostess gifts. The new owners are so sweet and you can tell they are very passionate about what they do! Can't recommend this place enough!
One of the best sandwich shops in town. Get down/over/up to Alpen Pantry and order the Lebanese (or whatever catches your eye on the menu) and you won’t be disappointed!
Today a friend brought sandwiches over from Alpen Pantry. Mine was great. Turkey stacked high on fresh black bread. Terrific!

Frannie and Drew (the new owners) are doing a great job with this sandwich shop. I've tasted multiple sandwiches at this point and they are all delicious. There's a really cool atmosphere to the place and it's truly special. If you're looking for a top notch sandwich experience then look no further than Alpen Pantry. It's the best sandwich place around.
