We had 3 different sushi dishes and Age dashi Tofu. As good as any Japanese restaurant in NYC and delicious
I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while now.Ordered a sushi roll, I wasn’t impressed with their plating at all and the taste was as plain as can be.I also ordered teriyaki salmon of which came with bland noodles that were burned to the hot plate. Also came with some carrots and broccoli. The salmon was paper thin and had the skin on it. I think they had to leave it on due to how thin it was or else it would disintegrated into shredded salmon.I usually give a place 2 try’s before I won’t go back.I also have to say the staff was over attentive by taking my beer that I wasn’t finished with yet and as soon as my wife took the last bite on her dish they were hovering to take the plate away. They were not busy so i’m not sure why they were like that.
Food delicious and atmosphere fun-5 stars! 4 stars is for location and prices. I just dislike Greenwich Ave on principle.
Top notch!! Real traditional japanese hibachi and sushi bar with japanese chefs. The staff are courteous and polite. Due to popular demand, it is helpful to make a reservation on hibachi side and sometime you have to wait a little bit but in general this place has large enough space to serve customers. I had a great time with my family and our chef did a great job performing fire show and provided excellent meal for my kids.Enough said i was definitely satisfied and giving this place 5 stars.
The food is good but it really makes your stomach hurt
We love ABIS!!! The front staff and hibachi chef is always nice and the dish is excellent too! Sushi is always very fresh and we love the hibachi show. Can’t wait to visit again soon for our upcoming family event!
very dissatisfied with their lack of Covid precautions. I understand that they are busy but they should either create more barriers between seating or turn down more customers, we’ve had to sit next to other parties at this place before Covid, but even before they would leave a seat between us so no one felt crowded. This most recent time they seated us side by side to another party and before seating the other party at our table told us we have to move over our chairs a bit because they needed to sit said other party, they asked multiple times until they had us elbow to elbow from the person next to us and knee to knee at the corner seats. Again, I get that they have to try and fit everyone and pre-Covid this would be fine for the most part but it is irresponsible and outright careless of them to crowd the restaurant and fully dismiss any sort of safety guidelines. Extremely disappointed.
Can we just say that all Japanese food is good!
We come here so often this place is never disappointing! Can’t wait to go back! Chicken and steak! ???
Absolutely awful, from the owner to the food. I order the lunch box, steak and chicken with fried rice, and the steak and chicken were over cooked (i order md rare) and the fried rice was gross.. no flavor couldn't even eat it. And the owner Jay is a complete jerk and spoke to me and my co workers terribly. We went to pay and he overcharged us by double!! $40 for a lunch box when its only $18! Then he argued with us till he said that he would meet us in the middle? What? I was furious and we will never be ordering again.
