I use to rave about milkcraft telling everyone they need to try it lots of people use to say how pricey it was and I use to reply it’s worth it but that is no longer the truth. Quality has change they don’t make it fresh anymore and the taste and richness is no longer there. I guess is true what they say about food places that get to popular their food quality goes down. I went to 3 different milk craft within this month thinking maybe it’s this place but no it all of them, West Hartford, New Haven and Fairfield location. Their cone was cold and ice cream taste water down like they skipped on the cream. Wow I am so disappointed. For the price you pay they should not change what they use to do if anything up your game Milkcraft!

Save your money and the calories! Good portions but super melty and meh.

1st time here. 5 stars for the flavor and portions of these ice cream creations. Absolutely loved the bubble waffle! 2 stars for how long it took to get greeted and place an order. Service is super slow, I didnt expect the process to create these handcrafted cones to be fast, as they are made to order. However, to get acknowledged and to place an order was something I think they could work on. They only took an order once the one in front of you was complete. Maybe thats the process, I dont know but since it was a rainy day and chilly outside that was unpleasant. The inside is small and they do have a counter at the window for up to 4 people to sit. I'd like to try this again when the weather is better. The flavors are amazing! We had 4 different flavors, PB&J, Salted Caramel, Vietnamese Coffee and Vanilla. Yum!

Our daughter is a freshman at Sacred Heart University so we are new to Milkcraft. I have never been to an ice cream place like this. They mix the ice cream up in huge mixers and add some kind of liquid (dry ice) and it comes out rich and creamy and the flavors are amazing. Be warned, it is pricey but it is worth every cent. They also make fresh to order "bubble" waffle cones, waffle cones and baskets. Also note, if you like this one, do NOT go to the one in Bridgeport. We waited forever with only one group ahead of us while several employees were chatting in the back., they only do two flavors in the mixer and the rest are just hard ice cream. The ice cream was good but if you are expecting what you get in Fairfield, you will be disappointed as we were.

The ice cream actually goes crazy. Strawberry the go to. Just don't get the waffle cone, it melts and is sticky on your hands. Either get it in a cup or get it in the other bubble cone. Sometimes the wait is long, but I would say it's worth the wait. Probably best ice cream in the area.

A very busy ice cream shop specializing in a few unique mashups and some classic flavors. They have bubble cones that are like begian waffles made fresh for the ice cream that are available in multiple flavors.Unfortunately if you order multiple scoops it can only be of one flavor so be aware before ordering . Also the bubble cones can melt your ice cream a bit which can then make things quite messy.Overall really goid ice cream.

If social media didn't exist, I don't think Milkcraft would either - this place was absolutely designed with Instagram portrait mode pictures and TikTok videos in mind. Virtually every ice cream option is ridiculously photogenic, especially if you're willing to pony up a few extra dollars for one of the bubble waffle cones. My mom and I stopped by here after lunch on Friday, a very pleasant/toasty March afternoon. I haven't been in downtown Fairfield since probably the mid-90s when I was a young pup, so I had no memory of what it looked like but I was pleasantly surprised to see an upscale college town. It's not a coincidence that Milkcraft is housed a few blocks away from a college campus, nor that it's surrounded by a lot of newer, edgy restaurants and shops, including an intriguing noodle bar right next door. This place is catnip for young pup adults and their parents looking to spend a little cash while they're in town.We timed our visit well - no one was in the establishment when we showed up, but by the time we had our ice creams, a line of three or four people had materialized. I ordered a scoop of the Milk & Cereal ($5.95), with Fruity Pebbles as the cereal in question. It was pretty tasty, definitely on the heavier side but I think that's to be expected. The prep work for the ice cream is pretty interesting - they're using liquid nitrogen to freeze the ice cream scoops, which makes for a solid optic (again, social media rears its head) and a smoother texture. Very cool. My mom got a red velvet flavor and declared it "magnificent." She lives two towns over and I suspect will be returning shortly. One negative is that by virtue of the extensive freezing process, it takes a few extra minutes to get your ice cream. If you have a sizeable line in front of you, it could take a while to start sampling the wares. The seating area is a definite bonus, especially on a nice day. There's a fire pit with some Adirondack chairs, along with other random, edgy post-modern chairs and upscale picnic tables. The only downside (and there's really nothing they could do about this based on the space) is that the seating is likely harder to come by during busier times, especially the primo firepit Adirondacks that we sat in, but that's true for a lot of ice cream places in my experience.Come for the photo op, stay for the fire pit.

Quite an experience! Ice cream and a show, they make it interesting to observe the process. We had the Smores Campfire in a waffle cone. It was very good. Quite expensive but worth trying if you haven't.

The ice cream was absolutely delicious! But my wife ordered hers in a waffle cone and they put the cold ice cream in a hot waffle cone. The whole thing got soggy immediately and her ice cream melted prematurely. ☹️

I caved in to my daughters request to go, especially after commenting ice-cream and waffles. Once there... I was amazed as to how they make the ice-cream...in mixers with liquid nitrogen per order! After the show... the tasting. We all shared a sample from each others.... vowing to go back next week! Truly a treat, but just don't espect the regular flavors.
