Must have been an off night tonight as the food is usually amazing but the chicken was over cooked and extremely dry. Definitely overdone. Will definitely try again.
Can never seem to get my order correct. Even drove back to pick up the correct item and they STILL got it wrong! Not the first time it’s happened. Portions are tiny for the bowls and way overpriced.
I kept hearing great things about the chicken from Love Bird. The pictures were amazing and even with mixed reviews, so I had to check it out for myself. Everything sounded so good from the menu that it was hard to choose from so I ended up ordering 2chicken sandwiches - The Love Bird and the Baja Bird. I also got the Brussels to the Beet which is a salad and a side of Mac and cheese. The sandwiches looked beautiful and not thrown together. The chicken was juicy not dry and surprisingly had good flavor!!! The salad is also fresh.....no wilted nor old greens. Omg the Brussels are amazing in the salad. You can also ask for protein in it but I already had 2 chicken sandwiches lol. Now on to the Mac n cheese. I knew from the looks of it that I would not care for it as soon as I seen the bread crumbs on top. It lacked flavor and cheese....I love a good Mac n cheese but this wasn't doing it for me. But I did return the next day for another chicken sandwich and salad ...that's how much I enjoyed it. Going to try the regular fried pieces of chicken to see how it is soon.Giving them a 4 star rating because of the Mac, they forgot to bag up the utensils and failed to tell me about the rewards program that they have where you can save $10 when you reach up to a certain amount of points. I learned about this when I went the 2nd time when I paid. Luckily I read the iPad when I paid, but the sales person should let a customer know of this. I had to ask what this was about. Anyway great food but people at the register should inform the customers of these amazing perks.
Healthier choose when choosing a fried chicken sandwich. No GMOs or antibiotics just fresh chicken. I ended up ordering the Lovebird sandwich with fried chicken breast and it came with house-made love bird slaw, pickles lettuce, and finished off with lovebird Special Sauce.I ended up with a side of fried picklechips as well. They also had specialty local made sodas in bottles to choose from.Very cute place to grab quick and healthier bite to eat.
Lovebird is amazing. Gluten free, dairy free fried chicken is witchcraft and lovebird did a great job casting their spell. Shout out to Grayson at the Fairfield location. He went out of his way to deliver food to me in a separate occasion, and also is very allergy conscious and follows up on your order to make sure it's right. Their chicken is amazing, coleslaw is on point, pickles are ridiculous... not a bad menu item to be found. Cheers to the crew over there, making my chicken dreams come true.
LovebirdLoved my experience with Lovebird! From the moment I walked in, I felt the positive vibes. Friendly staff, super clean, descriptive menu boards. Luckily, I got there early. They also have a food allergen chart posted near the front counter. Shows they care about their customers. Nobody was there. I took mine to go and as I was waiting, lots of people started pouring in. I can definitely understand why after I ate the sandwich.I got the Buffalo Bleu Bird. It’s fried chicken with spicy buffalo sauce, bleu cheese, and crispy celery slaw. I got mine without the celery slaw. Not a huge fan of it, but from what I’ve heard you will enjoy it even more if you like the slaw. I picked a Boylan cane cola to wash it down. Nothing better than soda in a glass bottle. Took my order to go. When I took it out of the bag and opened the box, I could smell all the delicious flavors. When I took the first bite, I couldn’t believe fried chicken could taste this good.My day had not been going that great up to that point. After my experience here, it changed my outlook for the day. Hot, crispy, and delicious. The buffalo sauce was spicy, but not overpowering. I was able to enjoy it. The bleu cheese mixed nicely with it in every bite. The soft buttery bun is what put the sandwich over the top. Every ingredient on the sandwich complemented it perfectly. No better way to wash it down than the Boylan cane cola. I love supporting small businesses like this. We need more of them.
The food is delicious. The fried chicken is some of the best fried chicken we have ever tasted, and we love the ethical approach to their menu.
What a great addition to the area! The food here is so delicious, and it just happens to be mostly all gluten free! You'd never be able to tell! By now I've tried almost the entire menu and you can get creative as well with your own custom wraps and sandwiches it even having one of their signature bowls or salads as a wrap with your choice of protein! I also love that they have creative specials and add new seasonal items. Their Mac n Cheese is chefs kiss, I love mixing their roasted Brussel sprouts in it and they officially made me a fried Pickle lover, though I think it's exclusive to their fried pickles! If you haven't tried their popcorn chicken with one of their amazing housemade sauces, you're missing out!
Went to Fairfield CT Lovebird for lunch today. It was our first time! Unfortunately we were very disappointed. Both of our chicken sandwiches were cold , chicken was hard. French fries were cold, soggy and very over salted! Also, very expensive….Not worth the money!!
Here’s the deal! If my friends invite me to a gluten free fried chicken spot, I’m walking in skeptical. How I walked out of @lovebird_ct is a different story! I was as surprised as anybody how crispy and flavorful this chicken is and by the way some of the best fries ever! With a huge variety of sauces and sides, and delicious salad and sandwich options you will go back time and time again!
