Worst bagels I have ever eaten. They were dry and tasteless.
Got a dozen everything bagels at 7am on a Sunday. Thats prime soft Bagel time in my opinion. Granted they weren't busy at all yet so maybe I was there too early. The bagels were pretty hard and didn't have a ton of flavor so I had to toast them even though I hate toasting a bagel. I get that bagels get hard throughout the day, but at 7am those bagels should be warm and soft and delicious. Shouldn't have to get there at 5am or noon for fresh bagels that's all. The people working there are really nice though. I'm sure I'll be back to see if it was a one off.
This is the most underrated spot in CT. Should be nothing less than 5 OUT OF 5. Bagels are on par with the best anywhere. Cappuccino was superb. Really hardworking and friendly staff.
For years the Bagel King has had the best bagels--crispy crust, perfect combination of air pockets and dense texture inside, and excellent flavor. In the last couple months, however, the bagels have become more like those flavorless fluffy boiled doughnuts sold as bagels elsewhere. Not quite as bad as those yet, but I'm no longer sure they are still worth the trip. ☹️
Went here despite suspect reviews. Most of the negative reviews focused on customer service. For chrissake, it’s a bagel shop doing high volume. They don’t have time to hold your hand. I found the service quick and friendly enough. As for the bagels, pretty good, not amazing. Would buy again, but wouldn’t go out of my way.
By far best true bagels in the area. Boiled and baked
Very good place to get your bagels and chicken salad.
I don't usually do this. But I happened to stop by Bagel King today, it caught my eye on a work errand. First I was disappointed with the menu and lack of full breakfast sandwich options. But the strawberry cream cheese looked like it was made there and so I decided to have a cinnamon raisin bagel lightly toasted with the strawberry cream cheese. I got in the car and headed back to work, opening my bag to find the most wrinkly runt of a bagel I have ever seen burnt to a crisp with strawberry jam. What a waste. Close it down and replace it with a bagel man.
These are my all time favorite bagels
Good bagels for sure
