The service gets mentioned first, it was warm and impeccable. We poured ourselves in there fresh off the nearby river in a wild thunderstorm. We felt safe and warm and the food was fresh and fantastic. I did not have a drink, but the margarita our friend got looked incredible, as he said it was. ?☠️
This is a takeout review. All food is eaten fresh in the vehicle. I ordered three types of tacos and Queso Flameado. I found the question to have very little flavor. The tacos were good but could have used more flavor. On a scale from 0-10 I would rate this 7.6.
Easily the better of the two Mexican restaurants in Enfield. The other one is more of a Tex Mex or what many Americans believe is Mexican food. Sarapes is authentic Mexican done very well. Had a steak taco and it came with just cilantro and onion. Authentic. I also ordered the steak tostada and it came with crema on top. Authentic. And the tres leche was a perfect ending. When in Enfield this is the only Mexican restaurant I will be going to ?
This is not your typical TexMex restaurant. My friend thought his tamales were terrific but the food flavors were not to my liking. Probably authentic Mexican cooking, but I like TexMex.
My husband and I love the food!!! The restaurant itself is very clean and the decorations are beautiful! It's a cozy place. When we dine there it was our first time the food was amazing great portion size. It was a perfect evening, we even hit up the bakery next door which is part of the restaurant we recommend you grab some desserts they are delicious!!!!
Sarapes? Good people and authentic Mexican food. Great ambience and attentive staff. Great local feel.

Sarapes tamales are seriously amazing! We moved from Texas and loved the tamales we would get from a neighbors MIL! You could never find homemade tamales close to that at any restaurant that I've been to in Texas! Well Sarapes tastes homemade! Absolutely delicious! AND the customer service was fantastic too! 10/10 would recommend!
Great food. Authentic Mexican fare. Delicious dishes. Wonderful staff make you feel like your in their home.
