I've had the best Mexican food in my life.We ordered a Vegetarian dish 'Enchiladas Rio Bravo' and we absolutely loved it to the extent that we customized the tip to more than 30%.The salsa we had with chips was the best salsa ever. The waiter was Isabel who was very sharp and had an amazing eye.The place was pit and gave a fresh and festive vibe with fun music.I would love to visit here again.
We visited this place yesterday, after a long day of shopping. It was highly recommended to us by friends. We ended up being very disappointed. The service was extremely slow. Our food took forever to come out. I completely understand it was dinner time and that they were extremely busy, but they were not even apologetic about it. When the food finally came out it was cold, my Oaxaca steak was well done after I told the waiter I wanted it medium rare, my son asked for his medium, also cooked well done. The sopa de mariscos was cold and unseasoned. The only thing that was made right was the margarita, unfortunately.
It boarders on a regular Chios and salsa place and a hidden gem- ish. I visited 2x in 3 days. By choice. Really flavorful entrees. I ordered first off the specialty menu, cochinita pibil. Very, very satisfying. Good flavor. Too much food. Felt badly wasting. Night 2 ordered Pollo asado. Not as good as the Pibil, but legit. Way, way too much food. I asked if I had accidentally ordered a share plate. And, if you read my other reviews, I’m good with eating. I felt even more terrible for leaving about 2 total chicken breasts on my plate late after eating quite a bit. I hate wasting food, especially careful, decent food.
Server was not at tentative and not friendly. Siete mares was a disappointment as it tasted bland . We had to ask for condiments and server did not check on us during the meal. Server seemed annoyed. Greeter/host was friendly.
Watch out for insanely price drinks. Went for dinner with the family at 430 on a Tuesday. Ordered a Margherita rocks no salt, a large one. Previously this was $16-17. For some reason tonight this was a $34 drinks. With children looking to leave I paid the bill and left. Most likely will not be returning after this ridiculously priced drinks.*also I did not ask for any premium tequila and it tasted very much like cheap house tequila and mix.
Excellent place and great food.My wife and I went at lunch time today and had the Fajitas and Enchaladas. I asked for some suggestion and the server was very helpful. Good to see lunch time crowd being back. The chips and salsa were great!
Great food! Great and fast service! The people were wonderful
What more could you want... fresh chips and salsa, a delicious burrito and refreshing margaritas. Everything hit the spot just right. Highly recommend.
When the food is good it's really good, but they have a lot of "off days" leaving you disappointed and craving that goodness you had last time. It's on the expensive side to not be done right every time. We love the igloos for outdoor dining. Just wish they would take more care in the meal preparations. From a hair, to the wrong dish, to forgetting the sauce. It's more often one of our meals is an issue than not. Might have to try somewhere else.
Chef Romero has some of the BEST food ideas out there. The menu at Puerto Vallarta is outstanding, and the blending of flavors is phenomenal. The churros here are some of the best I have ever had, and the steak breakfast that comes with cactus is just a beyond beautiful dish. I’d never had cactus before and I definitely want to try it again now that I’ve had it. No trip is complete without their cotton candy either, it’s such a clever way to reuse the tequila bottles. Beautiful food and presentation, this is hands down one of my new fave restaurants in CT.
