Visited Mariposa through a recommendation and I fell in love with it! The restaurant has a lively atmosphere, food was delicious, and the drinks were very well curated. I tried the Camarones, Birria, and Dorado tacos, as well as, the Carne Mechada arepas, Jicama Slaw. and Mexican corn. I also tried the Piña Punch, Where's the Rum Gone, and Fiery Nights drinks and I was in heaven. The levels of flavor?! Only sad thing about it was there isn't another location closer to me in the Hartford area. Highly recommended!
We were greeted right away when we entered and seated within minutes. Our waitress Lorena was super friendly and informative about the menu. The chef/owner came over to our table to see how we were enjoying our meal. This was top notch service.
Nice place, al pastor tacos and birria tacos, 100% recommend, Margaritas good and strong too. Get the passionfruit lemonade!!

The food here was a 10/10 and I cannot wait to come back. Try the shrimp tacos - you will not be disappointed.
The food here was amazing! And the inside is super beautiful. I love how they decorated it. Pretty wallpaper and bright colors. My family was welcomed very warmly and they went the extra mile for my daughter to bring her out something else she would eat at no charge! They washed my sons high hair table (we brought from home) in the back! The owner Sam (I believe) went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied andComfortable. I myself am a small business owner, soon to open a second salon in the neighborhood, and appreciate and respect service like this. We will definitely be back. And thanks for the churros. They were delicious.
This was a favorite go to spot on our own "Taco Tuesdays"... Love the food and especially the sauces... But...after more than a dozen visits it got old. Never changing menu... No specials offered ... Then after a hiatus of a couple of months we decided to do take out as our schedules didn't allow for a full night out. I can't describe what we got. Dried up.. hard tacos. Just probably the worst take out food I've ever experienced. Bummer. Just bad.,..really badBummer
