The food may be good but no tap water? 2 dollar bottled water? Laughable, first and last visit.
Tips:-Carpool (the parking lot is tiny)-Make a reservation (it's a small restaurant)-It's BYOB (Consider bringing a water bottle so you don't have to purchase one)-Try the Volcano and Magic sushi rolls... They're incredible! What a delightful place!! My friends and I wanted to find a new sushi place and wow, this was it. It is a small restaurant; there's about 6 tables and a couple of chairs at the sushi bar. It makes the place feel cozy. Jay and his wife Jenny were lovely. It's clear they make their food with love and care! It's also obvious that they care very much about their customers. Bella was our server and she was wonderful also. We will certainly be visiting again.
The food was fabulous! We ordered the Jeff and Cali roll just to get introduced to the restaurant. Everything tasted fresh. I only rated it 4 because of the price. There was no menu attached and the photos other users had posted we’re old prices. So it was a little shock to pay $20 for two rolls. But I would definitely recommend them for a special treat.
This place is fantastic!!!We shared a whole bunch of sushi dishes, so can't tell you which ones specifically, but they were all delicious. They're Gyoza was great, too. They has impeccable service. One of the best places with great customer and waitstaff service I have been to in a while. It is a small place, so maybe make a reservation if you choose to dine in.The prices were very reasonable as well!!Looking forward to going back!
This restaurant is right off the road and has a very small parking lot behind it, maximum maybe 3-4 standard sized cars. The interior is small but cozy, they’ve got 2 booths and about 5-6 normal tables. Partner and I came in for a late lunch about 3:30pm on a Thursday. We were the only patrons which was nice. We were greeted right away and picked our seats. I wish they offered complimentary tea or water but no big deal. Customer service was still super nice and attentive. For appetizers we ordered the fried gyoza. I ordered the Golden Bridge Sushi Roll and kimchi jigae, and my partner got miso soup, Snow White (yellow tail) and the Tuna Trio (spicy). The fried gyoza was super light and crispy. Honestly, the best gyoza I’ve ever had. The kimchi jigae for me wasn’t as brothy as I would have liked, but they gave me plenty of pork that literally fell off the bone because it was so tender. My partner really enjoyed our lunch and we look forward to visiting one more time before our visit in Danbury ends. Highly recommend trying them out!! Everything we had was delicious!! You can also order for takeout and just do a pick up if you'd like.Safety: They do not check temps or vaccination status but all staff wear masks and the whole restaurant is clean. Hand sanitizers are available at the table.HOURS: (As of this review in Dec 2021)Sunday 12:30 - 8:30 pmMonday 11:30 - 9:30 pmTuesday CLOSEDWed + Thurs 11:30- 9:30 pmFri + Sat 11:30 to 10 pm
The food is truly excellent. We have enjoyed three or four meals there and will go back every chance we get. It is a very small family restaurant. Space is limited. Sometimes when we came there was simply no room for us. If you get a seat, the food is prepared fresh and it takes a little time, but slow food is good food. Everything we ate there on each occasion was very good. My only wish is that they had a liquor license so that we could enjoy a sake with the meal. They allow "bring- your-own booze", but it's hard for nice hot sake in the winter. My own particular favorite is the Korean speciality bibimbap, but you really can't go wrong with anything here.
Depending on what are you used to, it can be average or above. A bit on the expensive side, for the same amount you can have a pretty good steak dinner and then some. Friendly atmosphere and the place is really small
The food was good. Very small place. But way overpriced. I ordered a sashimi dinner and they didn’t even give me soup and a salad. It was $100 for two of us! It should’ve been half that. My son had two Philadelphia rolls and a bowl of miso soup!
Not only I am not happy with their service, I wasn’t informed that they charge more than $2.50 for bottle of water. If I have known that, I would’ve ordered a soda. Waitress didn’t know what she was doing and she told us she doesn’t give out spoon?!? when we ordered Bibimbap and Hwedupbap. Don’t even let me start on their price!! And side dishes were an insult to me.. owner said he never heard a complain about the water and this is the first one and only because I am never going back there.
Tiny place with Sushi and fantastic Korean dishes like Bolgogi, and Gobdol Bimibap. Very tasty. No liquor license, but you can BYOB
