Nice grill restaurant. Service was excellent as our waiter was very attentive to our needs as were our staff which I highly appreciate. Once order was placed food arrived within 5 mins even though the place seemed crowded. I ordered the skirt steak (sorry no pic) and my wife order the Mediterranean sea bass. Both plates were great. Steak was cooked exactly as I wanted it. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone in the neighborhood and would definitely visit again.
I enjoyed the foods, Tina was excellent. I will definitely return.
When you show up at 12:30 on a Saturday and there's 9 customers and 2 employees at the bar, you'd expect good service. For some reason, what we got is a Nod Hill IPA when we ordered a 1911 cider, a 40 minute wait for anybody in our party to be asked if they want food (who knows how long it would take to get if we ordered anything), and a 2 hour wait to get the TV turned on so we can watch the weekend's games - hope you like Shrek and not the game you asked for. Abysmal would be a compliment compared to how the staff here operate. Don't waste your time or your money. It's clear that the staff here neither want nor deserve it.
We were looking for a different restaurant to eat at tonight and found this place on Google Maps and all I can say is WOW! Everything was on point, from the appetizer to the dessert, even the coffee was delish. Well worth the hour drive. We ordered the 20oz Cowboy ribeye and Skirt steak and it was cooked perfect and flavor was amazing. Sides were great too! Our new place to go, we'll definitely be back!
The food was amazing! Our server Nick was very attentive and awesome. I really enjoyed this place and I hope it sticks around. I will definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends and family
Great food, great service. My server, Tina, was amazing. Very attentive, knew the menu, made awesome suggestions. She took my experience to the next level. The filet tips were awesome, prepared very well. Great selection of wines. Fun place, too!
Went to a baby shower there. Excellent food and great service. Our waiter, Joe was great. He brought drink orders right away. He filled my seltzer glass multiple times without having to ask him. I had the cod oreganato. It was delicious, as well as the sides. Everyone at my table loved their food too! Will definitely return to try their steaks. My cousins loved the espresso martinis!
I was rather disappointed. Went for Valentine’s Day. They tried to crowd too many people in and it definitely compromised the service. We were seated at an iron patio table covered with a tablecloth which was uncomfortable and wobbly. We were never offered bread for the table we had to ask. Was never offered cheese for the pasta I ordered. Also brought wrong dessert. The waiter was lovely but the staff were clearly overwhelmed. Also way overpriced for what you get. Not nearly enough pasta for simple clam sauce. You go to a place like this expecting to spend money, but you expect the service and food to be on par with that. The food was very mediocre. I will not be back.Barbarie’s grill at the mall was a totally different and better experience.
A superb dining experience! Top notch entrees and service! One of Danbury’s best family owned restaurants . Cheers ?
My wife and I arrived here by accident after an I84 westbound traffic jam precluded our original early Saturday evening restaurant choice. Although the restaurant was busy, we were seated without a reservation and served by an attentive waitstaff throughout the dining experience. The menu was varied, incorporating both meat and seafood items with a raw bar. The wine list was ample with serving choice by bottle and many selections offered by the glass (literally a tumbler.) I ordered a CA cabernet that was soft and mellow. The steamed clam appetizer was well textured including a tasty broth, ultimately absorbed with toast points. My skirt steak was rare as ordered, tender and flavorful with tasty sides of onion strings and French fries. My wife's salad was crisp and fresh. Her medium rare skirt steak was presented as ordered and appreciated as well for taste and texture. The bill was accurate and reasonable As New Milford seniors who enjoy an earlier, more typically weeknight evening dinner, we will add Newtown Barbarie's Black Angus Grill to our post-Covid dining armamentarium, replacing New Milford Joey's, now closed after decades of excellent meals.
