ALL THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT
I feel bad about this review ..but every time I go the service is terrible!! food is not worth the trouble. In fairness it needs an overhaul I know it a been there forever just not a place i chose .. Usually i go because its a order someone else placed

I like their pizza and their salads. The inside can use an upgrade but the food is good. I usually get take out only.

My father used to work at the Chevron across the street from Vinnys When I was a little girl. We lived at the big White House on the corner of noble Avenue and Crown street. I remember my father bringing home Vinny's pizza. Removed when I was 10. I am now almost 50. My husband and I went back a couple of years ago. I can honestly say eating at Vinnie's pizza pizza was the most wonderful part of my trip back to Connecticut in 40 years.
Wow! The good reviews were accurate! We were on a road trip from Myrtle Beach to Boston and needed a break from the car, so we just found this place on the map. We were nervous about trying something based only on reviews, but it did not disappoint. The pizza was absolutely delicious and the employees were so very pleasant to us. I honestly would go out of my way to eat here again on another road trip!
Vinny’s is a small, authentic Italian restaurant located near Beardsley Park. When I saw the older Italian man behind the counter, I knew my pizza was going to be something special….and I wasn’t wrong. Vinny’s makes one of thee best sausage pizzas I’ve ever had! I’ve visited several times and it’s been consistently good. Great, actually. They have a dine in option but I live close so I’ve always gotten my pizza to go. I can’t believe Vinny’s hasn’t been on the food network like those other pizza places in new haven because they definitely are competition. Believe me, you need a pizza from here. If it’s part of your palette, do yourself a favor and get the sausage pizza.

Clams Casino and Ziti with Garlic and Oil was Delicious!! The bread was warm, soft, and delicious!!! My husband had Ziti with Meatballs which he absolutely enjoyed!!! A wonderful Restaurant!!!
