I really don't like to leave bad reviews, but hopefully this would be taken as constructive criticism. Went on a Friday night during 90° temps and none of the air conditioners were on. Just a large ceiling fan. There was no one in the dining room, so either it was a quiet night or possibly people left. I guess if there was no one dining in, then why waste electricity. When we mentioned it, they did quickly turned them on for us.Had 2 orders of veal francese, which was swimming in sauce, which made all the coating on the veal come off. The veal was tender, but the sauce didn't taste lemony. It was more of a brownish color. The other meal was shrimp and linguini in an Alfredo sauce. It needed some seasoning, but nothing a little salt and pepper couldn't fix. Only issue was the shrimp was overcooked, so they were rubbery. The waitress (don't remember her name) was a sweetheart. From what I've been told, the place is under new management. Maybe they still need to work out the kinks. The place is nothing to look at, but in the past I was going for the reasonably priced food, which was always delicious.
Invited two friends to lunch. Their grinders looked good. Mine, a roast beef with lettuce and mayonnaise, was terrible. ONE slice of roast beef, a terribly thick and not so fresh grinder, and a $9 price tag. The service was very slow and forgetful. I hope the take out pizza is better than the experience so far.
I heard thar this place was bought out from the original owners so we tried it out to see if they still have the good food the previous owners made. The customer service is horrible now. They will not admit to their mistakes let alone apologize for the inconvenience they made to their customers. My wife (a vegetarian) ordered pineapple & jalapeno pizza. They gave us a hawaaian with jalapeno. We called them telling that they put the wrong toppings and they insisted that it is our fault for ordering the wrong item. I went back to their store to return the pizza and they hesitated to give me a refund. Why would a vegetarian order something with meat on it? Former customers, BEWARE of the new "San Remo". Never had any issue with the previous owners. We order often here since we only live a few houses down from the store but I guess it is time to find a new spot.
I ordered a pizzas for a party and I can assure it has the best pizzas in Bridgeport, there prices are really good compared to other places nearby and I love how smooth everything goes. Love this place definitely worth the hype.
We dined this past Sunday evening al fresco. We ordered calamari which was fresh and very good. I ordered the manicotti, which was baked in just the right amount of delicious sauce, and light and creamy flavorful ricotta, yummy! My husband's lasagna was very good and filled with meat and ricotta, he enjoyed it very much. The best part of our visit was the fact that Chris graciously and kindlypartially honored an old gift certificate we had from our daughter ,from a former restaurant not even open anymore. We are so impressed wih his gesture and our server, Lenora , was attentive and personable. We'll be back w our family and friends very soon. Thank you! .
I called this place to order food and I was told to call back tomorrow they aren’t making any more food and got hung up on. Poor customer service. I called before it was too late. Such a shame because I really enjoyed their food
We love the Chix Ranch Wrap!
