LOVE the vibe here! Definitely try to get Lani as your server because her customer service is ON POINT! I absolutely loved coming here and will definitely be back with my friends as long as Lani is working!PS. The food and drinks were also ON POINT! Delish!
A very nice carribean/Mexican menu, dancing on a Friday and a Saturday night. Good music and good drinks.
A unique spot and set up which will truly entertains the senses. Friendly and warm bar staff who educated me on the menu which was greatly appreciated. The wings were delicious! The rest of the food looks very good as well…Cold beer and good service with tvs and sports playing as well. Music wa bumping and I enjoyed my short time here. What more can you ask for? Worth trying and enjoy the experience for what it is.
I was so surprised. I happen to come Halloween 2021. On the outside I got this Latin vibe but once inside it has this West Indian/ Latin vibe; decorated in Halloween props like spider webs on the walls, a costumed model that you could take pics with and a DJ. There were a couple of guests dancing amidst dining tables lol. It was definitely a festive vibe.Our waiter was also the bartender and I was surprised how she handled that. We didn’t wait for a request, she was attentive. Fantastic!The food took such a long time to come out, I believe about an hour wait. When it did come it was warm, not smoking hot :(I must say the food here was the best West Indian food I ever had in my life! My rice & peas where done so well; the grains were flaky soft, the peas where firm but melted in your mouth and there’s were pieces of ginger in the rice cooked right in! My fish was well done and steamed, covered in some of my favorite veggies like pumpkin, okra, carrots, onions, red sweet peppers & green sweet peppers. Plus the side salad gave my dish such such a fresh, green touch. I love the food here!!For a rum & tequila Infused dining experience in Bridgeport, CT GO HERE!

First time there. The food, service and atmosphere was great.
The food is GREAT! The owner is a very nice lady. The waitress she needs extensive training. I am BIG on tipping when it's GREAT service. I left a 5$ tip. She ran my card for a 10$ tip. So THAT is my que to not go back!! I know I DID NOT LEAVE 10$ Due to the waitress!!

First let me say I would've gave Rum & Tequila 5 stars for the Food , the atmosphere and for the Manager having a wonderful vibe ( The Lady with the white hair ) but our waitress JC (Janyel) was horrible. She needs to be trained on Customer Service and how to serve Food and drinks at a large table. Our first night at Rum & Tequila was Monday night for Karaoke which was great ??. The vibe was awesome but our waitress JC had a attitude. My friend asked JC for ranch sauce, she waited so long that I got up and asked the person in the kitchen for the sauce . Eventually JC came back inside from smoking a cigarette. My friends and I still enjoyed Karaoke Monday night. The food was so good my friends and I decided to do couple night. Once again JC was our waitress and her mannerism is disgusting. When JC gave my friends there drinks , she stood on my right side and stretched over my food to put the drinks on the table. She should've walked over to there side and handed the drink to them. My friend nicely called her for another drink and JC didn't even turn around to acknowledge my friend . She rudely put up her index finger as a gesture that we should wait!! Then me and my husband order a drink and patiently waited . JC came back to our table and gave the other couple there drink meanwhile we ordered ours way before them . I asked JC " oh did you forget about me" JC walked behind me and said " I'm not the only bartender here sweetie " I definitely didn't like the tone in her voice , so I walked to the bar and canceled our drink. She muffled something and the owner told her if they don't want the drink it's ok. Her attitude is definitely a turn off. We will not be coming back
