The best Haitian food I have had in Connecticut since we moved from NY almost 20 years ago. It is so authentic, fresh, and well presented. The service was also great. Highly recommended!!
I grew up on Haitian Food, my wife and I stopped there for dinner last night and we had the Legume with white rice and bean sauce. Also had the sweet and green plantains with the fried pork and pikliz. Everything was great with the exception of the bean sauce, it just needs a little more seasoning. The woman serving us we assume was the owner, she had a sweet personality and the place was clean.
I had an event at my house which was catered by Sonya. She came through for me and I was 100% satisfied. I felt so comfortable on the phone placing the orders without even having tasted her food. She also helped me with the orders as I was not so sure what I should order. I had baked Mac & Cheese, black rice, rice and beans, salad, griot, turkey, and chicken. All was truly delicious and tasted like my mom’s cooking if not better (mom is not reading this?). If you want authentic Haitian cuisineFor you or any events, I highly recommend!!!!
I attended a party and the food was catered from creole fusion cuisine. The food was so delicious! Sonya was so sweet and showed such great hospitality. I would recommend it to anyone! Can’t wait to cater from here again.
The food here is fresh and delicious!! I have tried just about all the restaurants serving Haitian food and none even come close to this place! My new favorite spot !!
I was at a party this weekend and the food was catered from creole fusion. Everything from the rice, to chicken, mac and cheese, pork, & picklies was AMAZING. Cannot wait to eat here again!!
I live in Manhattan and there isn’t any Haitian food/ restaurants near by which is unfortunate. Luckily i have an aunt who lives in Connecticut who brought me to this restaurant and i was not disappointed!!!While waiting to pick up food for an event, the owner/ cook offered my family samples of fried pork (griot) with fried plantains (bannann) while we waited.Excellent customer service right there.The food was well prepared and presented. Our guest were very pleased and took several plates to go.I will always recommend this place to anyone that i meet whose looking for authentic Haitian food with great flavor and taste. Trust me i live to eat and you won’t be disappointed.
We decided we wanted something different tonight, other than brazillian, Italian or chinese and came across this gem. The griot, picliz, sweet plantain, rice and peas and gravy was to die for. Literally every bite of food was better than the previous. The lady was so nice and her hospitality was amaaaazing. We got a goood serving of food. This is definitely my new spot! So happy we gave this place a try. We will definitely be back.
By far the best Haitian catered food I have had in a long time. The meat between the goat, chicken, griot (pork) was so tender and the quality was excellent. The flavor in all the food she provided was out of this world, if I could rate more stars I would. Even my children loved the food. Will highly recommend and order catering from her continuously. You will not regret ordering from Sonya.
Amazing food!!! Took an hour drive for her food. Such a wonderful woman. Thank you will definitely come again.
