Food was good but did not appreciate the service. The waitress seemed really annoyed by us right from the get go and never checked on us after our food was brought out and never refilled our drinks. Didn't take it personally at first but then saw her waiting on what I assumed were regulars acting sweet as pie and continually checking on their tables. Also it wasn't busy at all so there's no excuse as to why we didn't get attended to. Not going back if they are going to wait on different people in different ways and not giving the same kind service to everyone. Would not recommend if you don't already come here on a regular basis.
This is not your chain resturant. The waitstaff was super friendly. The menu choices were typical cafe selection. My husband ate the daily special which was linguine Alfredo chicken with salad and potato soup. The potato soup was excellent. It was creamy, cheesy, hint of bacon and the potato cubes were not to firm but not mushy. Our waitress told us that potato soup was only served on Thursday. I had the taco salad and it came with salsa on the side that was very flavorful. It appeared that the popular item here was pie. The special came with pie but we were too full to eat it there so the waitress packaged it to go. It looks wonderful but haven’t tried it yet. The iced tea was refreshing served over bb size ice which just adds to the coolness of the beverage. We would for sure would highly recommend this establishment. It appeared that most of the patrons were repeat customers based on the conversations with the employees. The bathrooms you have to enter from outside the dining area. Also there is an upcharge if you want to pay with a credit card but there is an ATM on site.
Service was excellent. I really did not like the country gravy on the chicken fried steak. The eggs were cooked perfectly the toast was done perfectly. the hash browns were pretty good, coffee was good. The server took the chicken fried steak away and brought me bacon instead and the bacon was delicious. I would go there again and just not order the country fried steak
Honestly wasn't the best food. Lot of elderly people there for costumers. My chicken fried steak wasn't seasoned well and it came with corn. Witch is kinda wired. The salad was the the only good thing. My boyfriends French dip tasted like it was out-of the freezer but her French fire where really good. Idk would recommend if you have tasted buds. Great for taking you grandparents there.
I know this place is very popular with locals. I ate here for the first time in many many years today and was quite unimpressed. We were seated with no silverware or napkins and our waters did not come for a very long time. So left with coffee to stir but nothing to stir with. Menus are sticky. Wait staff is extremely fast paced and forgetful. The furniture is very outdated and uncomfortable. Silverware is flat and sharp and cheap. My meal was warm not hot. I intend to try other things on the menu one more time and maybe I’ll bump up to three stars. Writing this so that you’ll understand what you’re going to get. It is a typical greasy spoon and that’s great. I reviewed our bill but could not read it. We were going to be charged much more than we ordered. Thankfully we reviewed it with the waitress and she adjusted it. prices are OK I guess but I’d rather pay a few dollars more and get a much better experience.
Many years ago I battled the owner for allowing smoking inside. Smoke free laws from all levels of government in Colorado have made that no brainer health oriented move for Appleridge. I forgive them and wanted to try the restaurant for dinner. We loved the food! The service was fair. Our server was pleasant enough but never once checked on us.

Love the breakfast here! Been eating breakfast here for 20+ years and still not tired of it. Breakfast burrito is out if control! The Eggs Benedict on Sunday mornings are fantastic! If your there for lunch you had best not leave without trying the vegetable beef soup. Amazing! I don't even like vegetable beef soup, but this one is incredible. Love this place, hope they are there forever!
Chicken was dry, fries were a little overcooked ,on the French dip a little short on the meat, onion rings tasted like the oil in the deep fryer needed to be changed , wasn't busy after lunch .
I LOVE this place. But I would love to see them update and take better care of the bathrooms.No toilet paper ❌No changing table. ?❌Yes they had soap and paper towels ✅✅Staff and food are always ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️
