Wow! Sooo good. If you've never been here, they bring you a sampler of each main dish so you can taste the sauces before you order. As she told us, that can make it easier--or harder--to decide! All of them are wonderful! We had seafood gumbo and chicken sausage jambalaya. Next time, I'll get lobster bisque.(And what a sweet story on the back of the menu!)
We were too excited to find this place to be disappointed the way we were. I see why this place is called the Lost Cajun. I'm from New Orleans and this place is a disgraceful joke ? I spent over $30 bucks for food I did not like. The beignets are not even authentic, like what the heck! The gumbo was tasteless, the fish was fried wayyy too hard and it just wasn't a good experience.
Bitty portion of crawfish in the dish. Also, rue sauce was much more tan or light brown rather than darker as I became used to in NOLA. Overall, one of the better Cajun places I have tried in Colorado. I will give it another try with another item from the menu.
Had the Lobster Bisque and it was delicious! The delightful waitress was friendly and brought us a few samples to help us choose since this was our first visit! My husband had the fish platter. I had one if his shrimp and an oyster! Fun dinner!
Loved the food here! Without a doubt great spot for a PO BOY or some gator bites and gumbo! Thank you Kim for the excellent service and the great experience. Family friendly staff and quality Cajun food!
My wife and I had just spent 2 1/2 hours walking on the golf course and we were in the mood for some good Cajun food. The Lost Cajun has fit the bill for us in the past. We drove the 20 minutes across town, walked in, and were asked to wait to be seated. I have worked in restaurants and know that The number one priority when customers enter the restaurant is to acknowledge them and get them seated as soon as possible. Again, we were tired and hungry. The restaurant had one table of customers. Hardly overwhelmed. The waitress proceeded to work on her computer for the next three minutes. That is two minutes too long. It’s unfortunate because we were ready to spend over $60 between the two of us and after three minutes standing there we turned around and left. That kind of service doesn’t cut it. Hopefully this is an exception to how they do business.
I ordered from this location via Door Dash on 3/12/22 and had a terrible experience. What was intended to feed my family of 4, turned out to be a tiny bit of rice with some broth from the bottom of the gumbo pot. And on top of that it was late and cold. Really disappointing. If you're out of gumbo just stop offering it. Don't send a customer a substandard product to make a sale. Avoid at all costs.
Shrimp poboy delish (a little kick in the sauce), gator ? bites (no sauce minus a star- we had to pull sauce from the fridge. We suggest passing on the bites at $16), beignets perfect just like Nawlins, gumbo yummy ?.
This was our first visit to The Lost Cajun in Westminister and it was delicious. Our server Maegan was awesome ? We will definitely being going there again.
Coming from Mansfield, TX we used to have a Lost Cajun and they closed down. I gooogled Fried Catfish and one of the Restaurants that popped up was The Lost Cajun. I figured I would give it a try. The one in Texas was better. Food was bland and did not have that Authentic Nawlins Flavor. I was the only person dining and the Waitress never checked on me while I was eating. The next time I saw her was with the check. Will not be returning.
