Awesome ambiance from the lighting, to the decor, to the music. Sweet staff. Loved our waitress and the chef. The food was beautiful and tasty and came quickly. There are lots of excellent non-sushi food items for the less-adventurous diners. A bit pricey, but that’s to be expected with good sushi. Not too busy at the start of dinner time. Nice new gem north of Denver.
Matsumoto sushi and grill has high quality fish. The experience was enjoyable with fast and attentive service. Server was kind and answered all the questions I had. To top it off this is the first sushi restaurant in Colorado that I actually enjoyed the tuna at. I would recommend checking this place out.
I walked into the restaurant for the first time today, and was greeted happily by the kind hostess. The service was fast, polite, and everything you could want from a sushi spot in westminster. This place is spotless!As for the food, I ordered the salmon nigiri, snow crab, veggie roll, and a small miso soup. Everything was delicious and fresh. The sushi rice was perfectly seasoned and the fish was the correct temperature. These chefs are very talented and I will be back again soon!They also let me try this beautiful ornate dish on the house. I believe it was a seared tuna wrapped around avocado with a gorgeous glaze. 10/10
We had a wonderful dinner here last night! Service was attentive and professional, food and sushi was all so, so good! We had the crab rations (best I’ve ever had), nigiri and sushi, and my boyfriend got the Kobe beef stir fry. I’ll be dreaming of what he got it was so rich and delicious! Great pool bar next door too :)
Stopped in when we saw the Grand Opening sign and what a great first impression this place made! The sushi and lobster fried rice were devine. They even made a custom roll from my old hometown sushi spot. So good!
My husband took me here for dinner and it was amazing!!! Our drinks were wonderful, the apps and sushi were so fresh and delicious. To top it all off the service was excellent. We can’t wait to come back!
Impeccable service! They were friendly and prompt. Smiled and were always available. Great hospitality. Authentic wasabi. Very fast and very tasty! We got treated to a delicious “on the house” appetizer. Great cocktails too! Tokyo mule was great with our sushi! You can tell that this is a great place because everyone was happy.
Hands down the best sushi in Westminster if not Denver. Their sashimi is extra fresh and clean, great prices, their service is mind blowing. Great place to come with friends and family. Shawn and his daughter has made us regulars. Best Sushi in town!!
This is hands down the best sushi place in the Denver area! The food is incredible and the service might even be better. We were so distracted by how good the food was that we forgot to take pictures of everything. You won’t regret having dinner here. Shawn, Josie, Ben and the rest of the staff will take care of you. I love the nigiri but also highly recommend the specialty rolls (cyclone and firecracker are the ones we tried) as well as the tempura. We are happy to drive the 40 minutes (sans traffic) from where we live to come. On top of the amazing food the prices are very resasonable. We will be back!
The food here is amazing! We started with the tempura appetizer, and it was the best tempura I’ve ever had. It was very light with perfectly crisp panko flakes. Delicious! For our meal we had four rolls of sushi. The fish was very fresh and each roll was delicious. A special touch at Matsumotto is that they freshly grate wasabi instead of serving green horseradish paste. Once you taste the difference, there is no going back. I highly recommend this restaurant.
