Jewel of India is one of my favorite restaurants. It is always fresh and delicious. All.of the staff is always friendly and giving you new things to try. I have seen them cook a dish that is not on the buffet and add it because a customer requested it. They are amazing!!
Went on a Sunday evening. Place was busy. Service was slow. We were tended to by 4 separate waiters. Had to get their attention 3 times. We witnessed our waiter go outside for a cigarette during all of this.Food was typical. Wouldn’t go back because of the service. Too many other options around town.
First time visiting this place and we got the lunch specials. Pleasantly surprised with the amount and quality of food!Their “hot” was not very spicy, but it sure tasted good. We’ll come back for sure!
The staff are very friendly and responsive. Ambience is pleasant. Their Naan, roti and other breads were very well made. So was the rice.we got the onion bhaji which was freshly made. So the vegetarian food here is healthy, fresh, and harmless, but not delicious. We usually get between a mild and a medium in most Indian places but here it just turned out to be completely bland and flavorless. The restaurant clearly caters to what white people want from Indian food, but if you crave real Punjabi cuisine, this is not for you. My rating would be five stars for the service and two for the food.
The food and service were excellent!I wish they would bring back their buffet, it seems like they don't have as much business as before COVID.The only actual problem I see is the bathroom is very dirty. It doesn't look like it's had a deep cleaning in years.
AMAZING!! LOVE THE SERVICE. FANTASTIC FOOD. DEFINITELY A TWO THUMBS UP.
We have loved Jewel of India's buffet for decades and missed it very much during covid. There is still no buffet but they have come up with a good vegetarian and non-vegetarian Thali solution... It isn't quite as good as having all the buffet options, but it's certainly better than ordering ala carte entrees. The food is delicious, the people are delightful and the service is fast.
Was craving Indian curry food. Found this place hidden in the corner of a shopping center. Using entry the place looked romantic. Shades of red and cloth garment decoratives. I don't know why but we had to share one menu between two individuals so ordering took a while. We ordered the Paneer pakora as an appetizer, which was awesome. The diced onion sauce was outstanding. Our entrees were Seekh kabab and chicken saag. Both were very tasty but the chunks of lamb were tough to chew and didn't have much flavor. The Saag was flavorful with the basmati rice. We'll definitely return.
Good food good for family or romantic dinner
We went there as a family. The ambience is what attracted us. But the restaurant isn’t run by Indians. It is likely run by south East Asian people capitalizing on the fame and popularity of Indian food. They may have an Indian chef. But the North Indian curries we ordered didn’t feel authentic. Food was OKAY, paneer kadhai was reasonable but the mushroom curry not so good. There’s nothing to rave about and nothing to hate. Hence the 3 stars. Probably wouldn’t go back there again. It doesn’t justify the name of serving fine Indian cuisine.
