Absolutely delicious Indian food. We live only 2 minutes away and we’re so sad the restaurant has been in our neighborhood for 6 months, and we didn’t know it. We loved everything we tried, service was great, prices reasonable, and we enjoyed it so much more than Yak n Yeti. We will definitely be back!

Absolutely amazing food.We had the Dal Mahani which was fantastic and well spiced. The curry chicken soup, which I have not had anywhere before, had a light curry flavor and really fresh ingredients.My friend had one of the lamb curry dishes which also had great flavor and nice cuts of lamb. He also enjoyed the rice pudding quite a bit.Will definitely be back or do take out. The ambience is so/so as space is still being decorated which the owners have acknowledged they are working on.Definitely try this place out - you will NOT regret it!
Amazing Indian food - the best in the area by far. Janakpur seems new, very clean and spacious inside. Feels a bit like a cafeteria, but the food is really wonderful. You can taste the freshness of their ingredients. The Pakora (deep fried chickpea with veggies) paired with their mint chutney is a must-try appetizer. A great many vegetarian and vegan options as well. There is a decent bar with assorted beers and whiskeys. Prices are moderate with most entrees priced between $13 and $15.
The food was very tasty. We had the Thali combo for 2 and we both enjoyed every dish. The reason I am not giving 5 starts is because I think the atmosphere needs some work. It needs some decorations and some background music to help it feel more comfortable. The building is a bit echo-y so it felt like everyone could hear what my husband and I were talking about, which is awkward for sure. We will be back since the service was great and so was the food, but to really make this place top notch the atmosphere needs some work.
Just had ANOTHER amazing meal from Janakpur! Papad with tamarind/chutney, exquisite veggie samosas, and out of this world saag paneer that was so good I forgot to put it over the beautiful rice it came with. Prices are great and honestly, they should charge more for how unbelievable the food is. The owners and people who are helping customers are outstanding. With taxes, tip, etc only $27 but I will be eating this for two days. And next time I’ll tip more because it’s that good. I did 20% but that’s not enough for this yummmmmmmm meal. Thank you.Update: RUN — do not walk — to Janakpur Restaurant!! Tonight I had my favorite saag paneer, with basmati rice and also got the sweet potato masala!! HOLY COW!! Honestly — the BEST food I’ve had in eons. I don’t know how they do it … but the food is MAGICAL!! The naan was awesome as usual. Portions are large in my opinion and exquisitely made. The owners are soooooo kind!! ❤️
