Waited for almost 50 minutes for subpar food. There were about 10 orders/tables ahead of us and can't imagine how long they had been waiting. When I received my food it wasn't even correct. Manager/owner walked to every table to apologize (which was nice) except for ours which we had been sitting at for a long while before others he spoke to. Will not be going back, seemed waaay too busy for their staff to keep up with and to serve mediocre food.. reviews seemed great so I was definitely surprised.
We placed a custom order for our daughter’s birthday party and when my husband arrived, the order wasn’t there. So we bought 4 dozen of the donuts they had available. About 30 minutes after he got home, one of their staff called and asked when I was picking up the order. There was a mix up with communication and their staff member delivered the donuts to the park where we had the party! She went above and beyond and it made my daughter’s party wonderful. Everyone enjoyed the donuts and kept asking where I bought them. Definitely a great place for donuts!
I’ve lived over in the area most of my life and finally tried this place out! I wish I would’ve tried it sooner cause it was good! For the price and what it was (I got a breakfast sandwich) it was good! No complaints, wasn’t crazy extravagant but simple and tasty! My husband got the breakfast burrito and was pretty good as well, had a kick and smoky flavor that he liked. But the donuts….. OMG! Put Krispy Kreme to shame! Their chocolate glaze is bomb and the texture of the dough was amazing!
This place is the Best for home cooking. I believe it's family owned and operated, kid friendly as well. Everything is home made, the best part is they don't kill their food with a ton of seasoning. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT ?
I really like this place for breakfast. Fast, reasonable prices for the healthy portions, and good coffee which I can refill. They get my bacon just right, not too crispy and not too soft. I go for the biscuits and gravy meal with bacon, so two eggs, two biscuits with tasty white sausage gravy and 4 pieces of bacon. Gets my day off to a good start.
Great breakfast, steak is nice and tender with eggs and potatoes. My wife & I enjoyed today! Delicious!! They offer free donuts prior to closing at Noon. They are closed on Mondays.? Thank you.
Closed on Monday so I came back Thursday, the first issue is that you order/tip at the counter before you even sit down, and if there's a line of people it just feels chaotic. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs.... Potatoes were previously frozen, eggs were fine, sourdough toast was decent though extremely buttery and the steak was over fried and low quality..... The prices were low enough to justify all this, like 14 bucks total, but I won't be going back.
This is my favorite breakfast place! They have delicious donuts and their breakfast combos are good. It’s also incredibly reasonably priced. I come here every week now.
Good food. Friendly, fast service. We went for breakfast on a Sunday, so it was a little busy. If it hadn't been busy I would've been concerned that I had ventured into the wrong place. Busy = Popular = good sign you made the right choice in eateries. We ordered pancakes, breakfast burrito, biscuits and gravy, apple fritter, and something that I think is called a rosebud fritter. Pancakes were decent and well sized. Breakfast burrito was good, but not quite the "best in town" that someone else commented in their review. But hey, to each their own. The biscuits and gravy were also good, though I'd prefer a little more crumbled sausage in the gravy. As for the fritters... yeah, those things are wicked delicious and addictive.Regarding some of the negative reviews I perused prior to visiting this place, I can assure you they're coming from people who are being petty and really shouldn't be permitted to submit reviews. I'm willing to bet they have never submitted any positive reviews for any place they've visited. Now ask yourself, is that the sort of review you want to place your faith in? I doubt it. And so I say you cast aside those reviews and treat yourself to The Grumpy Egg!
Ordered a smothered breakfast burrito to go with coffee. The order was done quickly and the price was right. The burrito itself was full of all the good stuff, so it wasn't just egg filler. Plenty of green chili. Problem is, there's scores of breakfast burrito choices within a 3 mile radius, and this one doesn't break the top five. It is pretty good, though. The donuts looked good, and some of the other options are probably pretty great--in that diner sort of way. The coffee certainly reminded me of diner coffee, which can be nice sometimes.
