We actually stopped in this little shopping area to eat lunch elsewhere but then my kids decided they did not want that, so we walked around the corner to Winona's and were seated immediately. The service was great and the breakfast and lunch menu fairly big with lots of options. They serve breakfast all day too. The only down side was the price. My kids both has 2 pancakes ($10) with 2 slices of bacon ($5), I had corned beef hash with 2 eggs ($13) , bowl of fruit ($9), my husband had a Reubens sandwich ($14). We ordered 2 drinks, while the adults stuck to water. Spent $80. The food was quite good but the pricing - wowzers. This was among the most expensive meals we had in SBS and it was breakfast, the cheapest meal of the day where I'm from. This was standard diner fare, not some elevated foodie version of anything. I felt like it was on the high side even for the area. However, it was good and the service was fast. It is slso in a very cute shopping area where you can visit some shops. Perhsps we were paying gof ambiance.
We've been here twice and I don't know if we'll ever have breakfast anyplace else in town. The coffee is excellent. The food is quality. The staff is great. My only minor complaint is that there are options to the menu, but the options aren't listed anywhere. So you have to wait to place your order to find out what your options are. Then there's... "Would you like a side with that?" When the menu says it comes with a side but apparently you could have had that breakfast sandwich ala carte. It's not a big deal, it's just, as someone from out of town, I feel like I'm missing the local knowledge. Again though, I would highly recommend this place to anyone.
This was one of the most enjoyable places we ate. It was cozy but they are known for their cinnamon rolls and it was good! You can get fresh made coffee at the coffee bar. Service was speedy and friendly! We brought in the local paper and did the crossword while we ate. Such an enjoyable experience!
What a great breakfast place. Right in the heart of downtown and right on Lincoln Street, Winona's has some great food and great people. We got there just as they were getting busy and was able to be seated immediately. That was super lucky because when we left at 9:45 am, there was about a 30-45 minutes wait. My wife ordered a chicken biscuit and I had the pancakes and a bowl of oatmeal. Everything was fantastic. We were in and out in 45 minutes and the costs were not ridiculous! I highly recommend Winonas.
I’m a cinnamon roll junkie, was disappointed that mine had virtually no cinnamon. It was big and soft, not sure why there was so very little cinnamon. I’d also ask for it not to be heated, as it was auto heated when placed on our table. Food was excellent, scramble and eggs on a biscuit with gravy were the bomb!
Best food we had in Steamboat! High quality ingredients at a good price. Our server was very kind, quick and kept our coffee filled! We called an hour in advance to ensure there was a table available. They are very popular, so seats fill up fast ;) We did not get a pastry, but they looked incredible. I appreciated the plethora of options on their menu. Go here if you are in Steamboat, you will not regret it! :)
Great food, excellent service, just an all around great place. Cinnamon rolls are to die for; do not miss out on that! You only live once!
Eggs were done perfectly and the bacon was nice and crisp. The service was spot on our, waitress was friendly and we will Definitely will be back !
We had heard so much about the baked goods here and stopped for breakfast. The food was DELICIOUS and fresh. The service was excellent- these gals moved quickly! We took home the scones, brownies, lemon bars and cinnamon rolls. The scones are hands down the best scones I have ever had. Moist and delicious. This will become one of my favorite places for a meal!
Our family of 8 had a wonderful brunch . The server was attentive and patient . She knew the menu and guided our choices . The cinnamon bun was huge and decadent . I loved the bacon and basil scramble . The service was quick and hot . This was an excellent place for breakfast .
