We have eaten here each time we have visited Steamboat. It has never disappointed. We had a delicious appetizer with melted cheese and pita .. we both had fish dishes that were flavorful and fresh. Drinks were good also. Our waitress Adila was friendly and a great server. Looking forward to our next visit here!
We returned to Three Peaks Grill after some time due to the impacts of Covid-18 and other factors, the food and service are still outstanding. They have added new menu items such as Peking Duck and retained s0me favorites like the Baked Asedero Cheese appetizer. Want to send a shout out to our server Wolf very knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly.
Amazing evening with great food, great service ,and a nice quiet atmosphere before our show at Strings on the Mountain.
My favorite restaurant !
My main motivator for leaving a review for this place is that we researched where we wanted to eat and I saw 3.9 out of 5 stars and read some of the reviews and said to my wife "I think the reason that this place rates as it does is because the establishment does not make their reviews a priority, but looking at the establishment and the food, it looks delicious."Well I was wrong and so I want to motivate the owner to change his approach and set expectations for others should they read this review. So to sum it up, the food was far from terrible but it was also far from delicious and it was outrageously expensive for what it was. I had the soy glazed salmon and my wife had the codfish. Both were about $30 and included nothing more than a portion of fish. No sides, and not even a large portion. The flavors were cheap (the cod was LOADED with sugar) and over cooked. We ordered two sides of chive-mash and green-beans. I was shocked to taste a $13 portion of instant mashed potatoes. The french-fries were even $13. The kids chicken fingers were not even delicious considering what they were. The establishment was definitely pleasing to the eyes, but the staff were not super helpful and it felt like we were in the middle of an episode of "Restaurant Impossible" where the owner worked his you know what off, but just cut too many corners to try to cover up other deficiencies / blind-spots.All in all: Two entrees, two sides, 3 alcoholic bevs, 1 lemonaide and 1x chicken fingers was $200 not including tip.It has been a ROUGH two years for sole proprietors. Given that, the last thing we wanted to do was complain as if we wanted something for free, so we didn't, but instead I am taking the time to leave this review in hopes that improvements can be made and in the meantime, others can have a better idea of what they might be signing up for if they choose to eat here.
Food tasted good. My salad was waaaayyy over-dressed, but they fixed the problem when I asked. Quite pricey, but the dining room ambience was nice.
Food was overpriced and mediocre at best. Even my teenagers were disappointed in their meals. I have been going here for years and it was never great and with the inflated prices, it has hit a new low. $52 for a paper thin “de Monico”steak. For Chicago prices I expect a great steak, but my 19, 18 and 15 year old boys were disappointed. Thank god for au Poivue sauce or they never would have finished the steak. The absolute best part of our meal was the two bears that walked in front of our window!
you’d expect a restaurant with $60 entrees to give you quality service, or at least service better than your local mcdonald’s. after 10 minutes our server came to take our drink order. when i got my drink, i didn’t like it and asked for a new one. she said she wouldn’t take it off our check. i’ve never heard of a restaurant not putting their guest satisfaction first, especially one as high end as this one. she reluctantly took the drink off the check, after we asked why if i wasn’t going to drink it. she was rude the rest of the night, all because God forbid i didn’t like the drink. took her another 20 minutes to take our order - don’t ask her anything about the menu, she doesn’t know. our appetizer came with our meal, probably because she didn’t write anything down. my $60 filet was the worst cut of steak i’ve ever seen - i’ve gotten better filets at texas roadhouse. i asked for medium, but half of it was well done. i would have asked for a better cut, but if they didn’t want to take my $12 drink off, i assumed they wouldn’t want to take the $60 steak off either. at the end, another server brought our check, without asking if we were interested in dessert or if we needed anything else. when i asked to speak to the manager, he offered to listen for me “to expedite the process”. when the “manager” finally arrived - if he even was a manager - he was short with us, blaming the fault of the steak on how i wanted it cooked. i had asked for medium, but he had the understanding it was medium well (probably another issue of her not writing anything down). the server blamed our waitresses’ poor service on the fact that she was the bartender. i’ve been a server and bartender for two years, making drinks for a restaurant three times the size and a section with triple the amount of tables, and i would never give service this awful. hire workers with experience, or at least ones without an attitude problem.at the very least, do not sit with melissa, she will not take care of you.
Surf and turf in the mountains could never be better. Probably wouldn’t eat oysters from any other place but when we visited we went back for them twice. Joe the bartender is a total pro, the facility was clean and dinner at the bar is a great evening.
We dined with a group of 6. The ambiance is great, tall ceilings and windows. It’s the end of the season so it wasn’t crowded. Took a few moments to get seated, but after we did it was great. Our server and waitress were awesome. Lots of personality and gave honest feedback about the menu. We enjoyed our food and cocktails. I would go back.
