Really delicious food with great service. Awesome to have a healthier option than the usual pizza and fried food on ski trips. Two of us shared the sweet and sour chicken, spicy tom kha soup and satay. We had some left to take home. There is free 2 hour parking in the lot across the street.
If I could give more stars, I would! They were very accommodating in combing (2) two tops into a larger table for our family of four without us even asking. Then there is the delicious and authentic Thai food! Everything we ate was fantastic, and the family that owns the restaurant clearly takes pride in what they serve! You can’t go wrong with the shrimp pad Thai! What a great place in the heart of Steamboat Springs!
Although I've never had an actual meal from here I still think their food is awesome. What I get is the appetizer plate which is 4 of gyoza, shrimp, spring rolls and cream cheese ragoons which is filling enough. Sometimes I'll even order the fried calamari which is amazing depending if you like squid. The inside is small and super packed at night so try to get in early or just order take out, their website will allow you to place an order ahead of time. The bubble tea is awesome to have around here too. The staff are always nice too!
What an incredible experience snd what delicious food. Hands down, the best Thai food. Better than Bangkok, Koh Samui or anywhere else in Thailand . I was quite surprised by the flavors and quality. The Angel was the most incredible dish. Certainly friendly service and high quality food.
Went here since it was recommended for takeout.. we got there early so we decided to stay and eat there. I quickly realized that they could care less about the people dining in, they had too many takeout orders to take care of us. We order the fried wing and a coconut soup. The fried wings looked dark and tasted like they had been fried in very old and overused oil. The coconut soup was underwhelming and again tasted as it was made days before. I had ordered a glass of wine that took so long that we decide to just pay for what we had order and leave to find a different place to eat. Also the place didn’t smell clean, they tried to mask the bathroom smell with some type of mopping liquid. We got back home I had an instant allergic reaction, my arms became itchy developed a rash, and my youngest had diarrhea. I will not be eating there again, and I’ll certainly not recommend this place to anyone. I would also discourage take out!
I’ve never in my life had Tai like this and I’ve had a lot. I visited Talay Tai while in town from Florida. The food was AMAZING! I got the Seafood Rama Noodle. Highly recommend!
Service is aweful. When we arrived, hardly anyone there so we sat at the bar. It took 40 minutes to take our order and another 45 minutes to get our food. By the time we got our food, there were people lined up out the door in the cold, complaining to get their take out orders. Some were there at least 45 minutes trying to get their food. Our food was cold and I'm sure the take out orders weren't much better. Customers trying to eat in were leaving because of the mismanagement. We never got our drinks, but were charged for them. When we asked to have them removed from our bill, they only removed 1 of the 3 from the bill. Since it took 10 minutes to get our bill back, we paid for the bill and called it a tip.
Probably the best Thai in steamboat. Have never left dissatisfied and everyone is always happy with their dishes. I’d say the spice level is a notch down compared most Thai places I’ve been going to in Texas. I got the 4 and it was a good heat not a too painful heat if you like spice. Haven’t been able to order wrong on the menu so far.
For being located right in the Steamboat resort, the Thai food from Talay is delicious and comes at a good price. We started with the Gyoza potstickers and egg rolls, both fried up well and appetizing. Our Pad Thai and Kee Mao noodles dishes were delicious, savory, and filling. We would definitely go back again.
Super fast and friendly service! We had our order in ten minutes and it was all correct. The pad thai was delicious! Also loved the crab delights. The level 5 was actually spicy which was something our group appreciated! Overall, this was a really awesome restaurant and I recommend trying it out :)
