Great atmosphere along the river. Tacos were $6. I tried a shrimp and a fish taco. If I ordered again, I’d omit the fish and go for the shrimp. The shrimp was full of flavor with a siracha crème and tasty shrimp & cilantro (picture on left). The fish was fine but just lacked that “wow” flavor. Service was helpful and courteous! I’d go back!
After experiencing a less than stellar meal at Salt and Lime we found this hidden gem on the river. The BEST tacos I've ever had. Not fancy, but the food is great, the atmosphere sitting outside on the river is charming and fun. Great drinks on the patio as well. Just an overall gem of a place. Plus- the chips are fresh made right there. Yummy!!
I wish I hadn’t inhaled my shrimp and fish tacos to show you the magnificent homemade corn tortilla and delicious tacos but alas, I couldn’t stop eating the tacos long enough to take a picture. However, here are pics of my boyfriend’s AMAZING carne asada torta. First, the owner Kent, makes his baguettes for the tortas from scratch using old world grain flour, which I willingly admit as a Parisian, can rival ANY French baguettes from the best boulangerie in Paris. And second, if you are insane and you think the food doesn’t do it for you (not possible! I’d drive 3hrs from Denver just to eat here!), then come have a margarita for the scenery alone. The view of the river while sipping a margarita will make you never want to leave.
Best service in town. Fast, friendly, helpful, clean and happy vibe. Guacamole was delicious - must get!! 2 tacos filled me up. A single Quesadilla each filled up two 10 year old girls. Would definitely go back.
Always the best lunch on the river. Food is always fresh and great off menu specials. Beyond fabulous tacos, the fresh baked artisan bread is amazing. Standing in line to order isn’t a bad deal because the owner always comes out to serve something to his guests. Definitely a must for quick eats.
“I’m Back Baby” -Frank Costanza Kent you are back too my friend! The flavors, the quality and the ambiance are all there. Don’t spend $100+ going to some bougy French chef our some over hyped sushi chef. If you want a good meal in Steamboat, go spend $20 at Taco Cabo and you’ll get the best experience in town!
This little Taco place is just the best! We ran into some army guys that had flown in for lunch...I'm sure they had other important business! The tacos are terrific! All of them and I've tried them all!!
We had a large group and no reservations in town for dinner last night. We walked into Taco Cabo and they gladly opened up the back room so they could sit all 15 of us. The place was cozy and warm and the staff was very accommodating and friendly. They food was great! Everyone enjoyed their meals. The food was hot, fresh and arrived quickly considering that 15 of us descended on them close to closing. We had a delicious, casual, affordable dinner and everyone had a great time! Thanks TC!
No word can describe how awesome this Mexican place is! Everything our party of 5 ordered was exceptional. Easy order process great spicy margs…food comes out fast and it was all so very tasty. Can’t wait to come back to the Boat and enjoy their outdoor seating this summer! Don’t judge the book by it cover…
A STEAMBOAT FAVORITE!!! The owners are hard working and personable. The food is full of flavor and authentic- everything is made from scratch! Go early in your trip because you'll want to go back every day!
