What a perfect location for a bar. You can hit the slopes, ski down to your favorite beverage and experience Steamboats little treasure of a bar and enjoy a scenic view of the mountains and admire the towns natural beauty all at the same time.
Fun outdoor Apre ski spot. Start a tab with the server at the picnic benches, or wait in line for the bar if up on the snow in the chairs. The Swiss food Rostis (potato pancake with egg and ham) is worth ordering!
We were told to stop there by one of our friends who is a local. It's a little higher then the base of the gondola so it is easier to ski there then walk there. Just keep to the right at the bottom of the mountain and it is right on the trail. You can also walk there from the base village. They have indoor and outdoor seating. It was a nice sunny day so we stayed outside. The servers were extremely nice and helpful. The beer was cold and the food was great. They always have a special drink list as well.You can sit at a picnic table or on a chair on the snow. We did both. Prices were reasonable considering the location. I would definitely recommend the T Bar with it's locals vib.

Don’t let the looks of the place deceive you, the food is really, really good. Chorizo Mac and cheese, empanadas, artichoke dip were fantastic. I can’t recall our server’s name but she was super friendly. It was so good we bought the kitchen staff a round of beers.

We stopped here for lunch assuming it was a convenient place to eat during our day on the mountain. We sat outside and the server took our food order pretty quick, but then we never saw her again for 30 minutes. At the 45 minute mark she stopped by to confirm that we were doing ok... at which point I reminded her that we had been waiting an extremely long time, to which she responded that she saw our ticket towards the front in the kitchen. No apology or acknowledgement of the long wait. All the other tables nearby also inquired about where their food was to the same nonchalant response from the server. They just didn't seem to care at all. What was even stranger was that they had plenty of staff covering the tables for drink orders clearly had a full kitchen staffed inside. The two stars are for the tasty food once we got it, but this is not worth burning over an hour of your day on the mountain for lunch.
Amazing food, unlike the other basic restaurants they have cool unique foods from different cultures and places. The service was quick and the waiters were friendly and talkative. The food came out looking very presentable.
