This place was busy! We got in right away. My daughter ordered the Mexican pizza appetizer for dinner, I had the steak fajitas, my husband a combo with beef burrito, Chile rellano, and cheese enchilada. My daughter's food was DEE-LISH-US! It was big. It's something someone could certainly share with 4 easy. My husband said his food was pretty good. Service was good, attentive and not hovering and just perfect. Here's where it wasnt perfect. My fajitas were so burned when I took a bite it tasted like Kingsford charcoal. I tried to pick out was what wasnt burned, but the whole thing tasted burnt. The server and restaurant were gracious and offered to make me a new one. Everyone else was done eating so she just took it off the bill. I would come back and try again. Could have been a one off.
Would give 0 stars if I could. I'm vegan, and I called to see if they had any options for me for a family dinner tonight. The man who answered their phone was not helpful. I asked him if he could find out the vegan options for me, and he told me to call back. I've worked as a waitress for 7 years--this is not how you treat people. Plus, as a restaurant worker, you should know which foods can accommodate different dietary restrictions.Good hospitality is my M.O., and this was anything but good hospitality. My family and I took our business elsewhere. I'm in Steamboat frequently, and will probably never come to this restuarant. I refuse to spend my money at a place that hires people who don't want to go above and beyond for a potential (good-tipping) customer
This place has excellent food and excellent service. A few days ago we arrived late into Steamboat due to delayed flights. We were very hungry. We made it to this restaurant just before closing time. Despite this, they graciously seated us and fed us. The drinks and the food were outstanding! They have an extensive Mexican menu. If want great food at a restaurant that is truly committed to providing its customers with the best service possible, this is the place to go!
We have been coming to Fiesta Jalisco for over 5 years. The food's amazing and usually the service is great but tonight it was terrible. We went on the list tonight 2/25/22 and waited 30 minutes, which is no problem. After we had been waiting about 20 minutes 2 parties walked in after us and were seated immediately. When we spoke with the managers Liz and Mario they could have cared less and said it was because they were bigger parties. But a party of 3 got seated ahead of our party of 2 in addition to a party of 5. Not sure how the party of 3 counts as a bigger party.We are loyal customers here, frequently refer friends and family and weren't looking for much. Had the managers simply said "sorry that happened, we'll do better next time" I wouldn't be posting this review. This was terrible service.Our waitress Mayra was wonderful, heard our frustrations and took excellent care of us.I recommend Fiesta Jalisco but hope to never have an interaction like this again. I think some customer service training would go a long way for the management here.
F.J, is a solid alternative to downtown Mexican. Everyone really enjoyed their meals an margaritas. I had the Chili Colorado burrito. Only feedback would be to have a spicy salsa option.

They have the only good Mexican food in Steamboat, so it really sucks that their staff is terribly rude.Every time they’ve messed up an order (dining-in & to-go) they lie & say I have to keep it or “the server will have to pay for it”. I’ve spoken to the manager who is very polite and says that isn’t true and has no issue fixing the problem. I really wish the staff could be trained to handle mix ups themselves.I’ve had a waiter raise his voice at my teenager & I’ve been hung up on over them making a dish incorrectly. It’s a very odd situation.

Some of the best food I have ever had. Arroz con Pollo and the bacon wrapped shrimp in spicy sauce were excellent. The margaritas were so good.
