Rojas has decided that it's ok to charge for a pint of salsa (16 oz) and only give half of what is paid for, if that even. They are also charging a surcharge when you pay with a debit card which is illegal per CO law. It's ok for a credit card but not debit card. When I brought this up to them I was told to contact their credit card rep. I was also offered a "complimentary" pint of chili. I don't like their chili and declined because how is it complimentary when I already didn't get what I paid for?
Accidentally left my credit card there after I ate. I went back the next morning ,The owners daughter who was the waitress rememberd picking up the card however she said she somehow threw it away. Didnt even offer a reason. Just said she must have thrown it away. Who does this?
Completely ignored. Had to find someone to be sat. 20 minutes later, 2 couples came after us. They got menus and silverware. We still had no service. They started to wait on the table that came in after us. That was enough for us to leave.
This place is trash. Anyone who thinks this place has good food doesn't know Mexican food. Chili wasn't hot look like flour we sat for atleast 45 minutes before we got our food. Ordered carnitas tacos so much fat wasn't even meat. They don't even have a drink menu. Salsa was trash food was so over priced.
This place is not good and expensive. I ordered chicken tostadas, and the chicken had absolutely no flavor. It was bland and gross. Oh yeah I also found a chicken bone, yum.My husband ordered the carne asada chimichangas and he did not like it at all. The carne asada tasted like boiled meat but at least his meal had flavor.Oh yeah it's ridiculously expensive too. About $17 for some carne asada tacos and $11 for some freaking fried ice cream.
I really used to like this restaurant when they were out on the Mesa. Things have changed. Food is okay, staff friendly, but last night I was hit with the latest craze among businesses. When I paid with my credit card I was hit with a 4% surcharge for using the card! The fine print at the bottom of the receipt explained it. Better notification should be given to the customer about this. The fine print reads”To encourage the use of cash you will be charged 4% to cover the credit card company fees”. When I’m leaving is not the time to tell me this, it should be advertised at the tables, front door, bar, etc. Won’t be going back!
I've been to this restaurant a number of times in the past (infrequently). Each time I go there, the service progressively gets worse and worse!! I just had to find an employee and was told to sit wherever I wanted. Close to 20 minutes later and two other parties being seated, the waitress blew past us and went to a different table. Seriously???? I guess I'll spend my money somewhere else! I will NEVER make the mistake of going to Rojas restaurant ever again. I can get better service at Taco Bell.
We haven't eaten there in a few years because we moved away from the area. Now, we've moved back, so we ate there yesterday. I always had the chicken fajitas, and that's what I had yesterday because they are absolutely delish!! They give you enough for two or three meals in one serving, but they are far from overpriced. I also had the fried ice cream and it is wonderful! I highly recommend this restaurant for their great food, service, and prices! We will be back...soon!
Good portions. Good food. I do recommend getting there right at 11:00 due to the place being a little small. But we'll worth checking out..
Rojas is constantly good, with friendly people and great service. Good green chile. To me it's a little more authentic than some of the others in Pueblo.
