Initially I attempted to make a reservation for my grandson's graduation celebration. I was told no reservations were taken for the weekends however, there shouldn't be any problems to serve a party of 22 at 2:00 pm on Saturday. I chose Garlic & Onion Mexican Restaurant because half of our party lived in Pueblo and the other half of my party caravaned from Colorado Springs. When we arrived I was told we would have to wait at least an hour before we could be seated. Once I told the young lady about my phone call the previous day I was offered the patio area to seat my party. I accepted the seating and was told they were short staffed and they would do their best to serve us. We had a new employee Elijah as our waiter. He did his best to get 19 different sodas, teas, and lemonades. Elijah brought out our chips and dips. Eventually, Elijah took our orders and though it did take awhile for us to receive our food we did receive our dinner. We had to set up the tables and chairs in order to sit comfortably as well as, wipe the tables off before we could sit. The food was edible, but it did lack flavor. Our choice of meals were limited due to the number in our party. We had to order from a smaller menu than the other patrons. The restaurant had a bar without a bartender. The waitress/waiter had to serve their own drinks. I was Thankful for my family because we were able to have fun conversations and catch up on life while celebrating my grandson. Our waiter Elijah did his best to do his job and I appreciated his effort. In honesty, Garlic & Onion Mexican Restaurant is NOT a restaurant I would recommend, due to the lack of taste in the food and lack of staff. The price I paid was definitely NOT worth the meal.

Wow I was very pleasantly surprised this morning. I have not been here in quite some time, because you either get good food or good service, but never both.Despite a sign "no staff, please be kind" we got very good service (Thanks, Jasmine!) and the fajitas were pretty amazing. There were 5 of us, and we all enjoyed ourselves very much.

Great authentic food! The salsa is awesome! Great prices! We have been to many restaurants in Pueblo and ordered drinks and the drinks are very weak no matter the restaurant. At Garlic and Onions, the drinks are always on spot, perfect and worth what we are paying for!! We highly recommend this restaurant!

Service was number 1 and the staff were great and accommodating to needs of clients.Food delicious and authentic.. hands down excellent

In my opinion, the food was mediocre. I had the cheese enchiladas with red sauce but the cumin was a bit overwhelming. The rice was the same way. The salsa had good heat with decent flavor if you don't mind cilantro. They were fairly busy when we went, so that couod have had something to do with it.

We waited over 50 minutes to be served while watching others who arrived later being served before us. Our waiter explained that the manager asked him to serve the larger parties first even if they arrived later…we asked to speak to the manager about the wait and the policy but they didn’t come to our table until we asked again once we finished our meal. Finally she arrived and didn’t ask what the problem was but rather was immediately defensive … there was no meaningful discussion where we could state our case and no discount. We were visiting with friends and meet there often for dinner and lunch and we never ran into this type of dismissive and poor service before…. I would never recommend this place because it’s clear they don’t care about their customers or their service. They have a sign out front that says “be kind” but clearly that’s not their policy. The food is okay but I’d recommend Cactus Flower over this place 10 out of 10 times.

Last night was our first time eating here. My husband ordered ceviche tostadas. They were mostly picó de Gallo tostadas. Then we ended up ordering 3 gorditas to go. When we ate them later in the night, they were just stuffed with cheese!!! Super disappointed in that!!!!

Desiree is the best waitress. We have been sat twice in the past and no one ever came over for wait staff. Desiree has always jumped in and served us even though we weren't her table.

First time here. Had the pork tamales with green chili. Fair sized portions and pretty flavorful. Will definitely be back when in the area. Waitress was friendly and attentive and despite a notice at the front door that they are short staffed and it might take longer, we were waited on and served rather quickly.

I visited with my sisters and brother. The food was excellent and the margaritas were out of this world! We had a party of 13, and the service was great.
