I live in Denver and anytime I’m in Pueblo I visit Burrito Betty. At the beginning it was delicious. Not now. The green chili is not the same, the potatoes are mushy. It’s just not the same. I can only assume they have changed the recipe and maybe using cheaper ingredients.
I love this place! The bean & cheese burrito with green chile is a go-to. HOWEVER...they really need to set up a better system in place for calling out orders - such as the number on the receipt or the customer's name. Sticking out the bag of food from the window and only stating (quietly) what the food is makes it confusing for everyone waiting. We have no idea if it's ours and it becomes a frustrating guessing game. A lot would be solved by becoming more clear in the first place. I hesitate to come often for this reason. I've also had an order be wrong and I had gotten home when I figured that out. Unless I eat the burrito right there, it's always a guessing game if it will be right. They do great business and have awesome prices but you can see why I am somewhat deterred.
I'm not sure I'd call what I got here a burrito. It was more like soup wrapped in a tortilla, or as one of my friends put it, a juice box. I have never had a burrito that is almost complete liquid inside. The flavor was good, but it would be better if they used real avocado and made actual burritos. Another friend said they used mashed potatoes inside the breakfast burritos, so those were all mushy. Something else to be aware of is the fact they are charging much higher prices than the ones on the menu out front now, and the burritos are pretty small compared to others in the area that are also a lot cheaper and better texture wise. I don't know if I would eat here again, personally, especially since on top of everything, the lady flat out ignored us when we went back up to the window to see if there was any hot sauce, but to each is own.
Burrito's Betty has been a staple of Pueblo for many years. It is sad to see the new owner bring this place down. And ruin the name of a great women. The service is horrible the burritos are very small compared to before. They have people out waiting past 7:40 when they are suppose to open at 7:00. Very sad what this place has become. Honestly should remove the good name of Betty from this mess of a restaurant.
Great Place to eat Breakfast or Lunch…Closes early in the day, Food portions aren’t that consistent from one visit to the next, but the food taste great. Prices are in line with everywhere else.(Reasonable)
Use to love this place bacc in the day. Disappointed with the service, also burritos no longer have as much product as before. There getting stash with ingredients. Very little chili in burritos. What happened to Betty
Purchased bacon breakfast burritos with green chili....delicious. great service. Thank you.
Saw a line out in front and thought we’d give it a try. Extremely disappointing. The pork, avocado burrito was a soupy mess and the breakfast (bacon burrito) was small and flavorless. Was that real bacon? Bacon bits? IdK. I guess we’re spoiled from Monica’s in CS.
So we finally came here, after a year and a half of living in Pueblo. The burritos are good!! They aren't fancy recipes. It's good old homemade burritos that envelop you into a hug as you eat them. I wish they could open the restaurant to dine in. But it is what it is. They are also not selling chorizo burritos anymore.I got the avocado, green chili and pork burrito and requested potatoes to be added and they did :) my friend ordered the eggs, chorizo (substituted with sausage), cheese and potatoes and requested avocados to be added and they did :) we both enjoyed our burritos and did not eat anything until like 5 in the evening. I'll definitely be getting these again!
I’ve had their breakfast burritos before, which are great! Today I had the avocado, green chili and pork burrito which was flavorful, however the contents were very soupy. I would recommend adding rice or beans to help it hold together! Otherwise it’s just mushy.
