We had heard that the cocktails were great and the food good, so we decided to try. Our server, Parker, was excellent. Friendly and knowledgeable. The place was very clean and comfortable. We had the pork chop, the mussels and fries, mozzarella and tomatoes with balsamic vinegar, calamari and the three squash dinners. The pork chop dinner was very good. The three squash plate was tasty, but too much of the same texture. As I said very good, just too much. The clams were delicious and buttery. The flavor of the calamari was good. The cocktails were great, as touted.
The food was wonderful. We had the short ribs, so tender no knife was needed.
Great atmosphere and Erika, our server/bartender was nice. Service was a bit slow but not enough to make it so I wonât be going back. Itâs a great local spot to enjoy a good cocktail, Iâm picky with my pours & the selection they have is why I chose the Douglas. Only tried the mussels for an app & was not impressed, too salty.
First time there since they have been under new management. Complements to chef everything was flavorful and seasoned well out server Eric's was outstanding and best attitude we have had in a long time.
Our food was well seasoned, excellently prepared and presented. The braised short rib was the stand out dish.
Moderate food, good service, great cocktails. Will be back.
Great service and food
1st time and it was a great find! They were introducing items for a new menu; we had both the Wedge and Caprese salads and both were very tasty. The smoked, candied bacon had great flavor; both salads were meal sized, so a bit large when incorporating into a full dinner meal. While the 8oz filet was prepared perfectly and served on garlic mashed potatoes with grilled sesame asparagus, the short ribs stole the show. The short ribs had a demi-glaze and were super tender, making every bite delicious; was served over a creamy polenta that was a perfect addition to the ribs. Our server was Ericka, who was also the bartender, and her service rocked. The smoked old fashion and Manhattan were excellent cocktails and the wine list was extensive and reasonable. We will return.
The Douglas was a great surprise. The food, cocktails and waitstaff are the best.Really had a great experience at this place.It recently changed ownership an is managed by a international management group. They really know what they are doing. Price point was a good value.Topped off the night on the upper deck on the patio around a fire pit for another cocktail.Great night.
We enjoyed our 21st anniversary dinner! Service was great and food was tasty! Unfortunately the steak and pork were overdone and dry.
