Decided to go somewhere with outdoor dining. We split an order of beef fajitas. Had a couple of beers. Bill was about $25. Very reasonable and the fajitas were good. Sat on the upstairs deck. One of the best mountain views, anywhere. Would highly recommend.
Eh... the food was OK. The service was mediocre. I'd go back for a game and a drink for sure but that's about it.The server did tell us that the kitchen was backed up so there might be a wait. We asked about apps and she said the best way to get food out the quickest would be to get the order put in right away. So we just picked the first 5 items we spotted on the menu so we could get the order in as quick as possible... per her suggestion.She wrote it all down, said she'd get the order in asap, then proceeded to go clean the tables next to us...... instead of putting the order in. ?♀️We had ordered a salad hoping it would come out sooner but instead got charged for a salad we never received. (They refunded and were very kind about it)With all that said..... it wasn't a *bad* experience. We weren't starving or in a rush so we just played games and waited patiently.... but it definitely wasn't an experience that made me excited to ever go back, unfortunately.
First time we went service was okay, food was ehh. Today we went sat for 10-15 minutes before a server even acknowledged they’d be with us soon and at this point we were already walking away from the table to leave. We were there around 7:30 m, it was not busy at all. There was 2 whole tables on the upper patio. Disappointing because they have a great view!
Nice spot, good food. Service was a bit all over the place. Plenty of seating, very spacious.
Excellent experience. Owner Bob honored my Veteran husband (recently deceased) in the kindest way. So grateful.Good food. Try the fried sweet potato and beans basket. Yum
Yummy food, lots of choices. Get some wings for an appetizer. Bar upstairs too, if downstairs is too noisy.Live entertainment some nights. Staff super friendly.Restrooms very clean.Family friendly, kids welcome.
Beer was great. Service very friendly. Food. Nope. Mexi potato skins...dry beef with no seasoning. No sour cream and insufficient cheese. DRY. The tuna melt wasn't a tuna melt. Cold tuna salad ( that was BLAND) with a piece of cheese that didn't melt because the tuna salad was cold. All cold stuff on sourdough toast. Not a tuna melt. Go there for the beer and atmosphere. NOT THE FOOD. Probably won't go back.

The menu has everything you can think of to satisfy your taste buds. Pork, Beef, Chicken and Fish. Mexican Food as well. Man oh man is it good. I had the Rib Basket. It consists of 4 BIG PORK RIBS and the Best French Fries you could imagine. The Pork fell off the bone and I mean fell. The BBQ Sauce on the Ribs was delicious. All the serving size on everything our table ordered was generous. Their selection of beverage is also amazing. Everything you can think of they have. The service provided by our waitress Chailyn was delightful. She is very engaging and after speaking with you, has suggestions on what you may like to order. Because of her, our glasses were never empty and we had our food served at the perfect temperature. Bob and Nancy Nobles have built and manage a fantastic place to eat, drink and relax at the Takoda Tavern.
