The Windjammer is another cool feature at Carter Lake. With cold beer and good food in a great environment and a helluva view, you can't go wrong here.
Every time I go here I get great service! A couple of people checked on us frequently to make sure we had drinks and if we needed food.
Amazing atmosphere, awesome good and friendly and attentive staff. I have been coming here throughout my life and it has always been amazing. They even cater to customers that have dogs by providing dishes for dogsIt is also located by two campsites that make it the perfect place to eat when you visit Carter or flat iron lakes. Highly recommended
Great quick stop if you're on a bike or out and about. Salads are good as well as great tacos and smoked bbq. The dry rub smoked wings are some of the best I've ever had. I'd come here just for wings....they are my new best wings in Colorado spot
New ownership is getting it right. Previously, with old ownership I had given up because they were under staffed and the old regime service was terrible. First time back was a great experience. Good food and quick friendly service. Hope they keep it up.
It had been twenty years since I had stopped here and I don't remember the food being as good as it was !!! The pulled pork and the brisket where some of the best I ever had.
The bar was mediocre and the dining area's looked run down. They had one pool table that was pretty well worn. The staff catered to their friends who were drinking and very loud. Although the menu seemed decent, we didn't try the food. Based on my overall impression, the food may have been a redeeming quality, or not. The owner apparently gets by with the status quo. This could be a very nice place considering its located over looking Carter lake!
The beef brisket sandwich was unbelievably good! The bodacious blonde or whatever blonde beer it is - is right on the money you got to have it!!Got to ride the bike up there tomorrow while it's nice ????✌️?
Rode our bikes (bicycles) out for the first time in a few years today. There was a full crowd of bikers (motorcycles) there, but everyone was cool. We grabbed seats at the bar and got great service, even though they were short staffed and busy. Shout out to the two guys who were behind the bar today, they were working their butts off. Shout out to the kitchen too, our food came out in good time and the burger was amazing as always. Will be back soon to try the bbq.
Wow! What a nice surprise, Windjammer has fantastic BBQ. The inside all new. The bartender (owner) is a great host, friendly and accommodating for as busy as he was when we got there. And his grill master cook makes the tastiest BBQ we've had this side of the Mississippi.We highly recommend ??
