We have been coming to this Old Chicago for years, it felt like it went downhill during the pandemic with an extremely limited menu and very few staff. This last time was much better and they seem to have a better selection now. I highly recommend the “Farmer’s Daughter“ Detroit style pizza – Fresh mozzarella, blistered tomatoes, pesto sauce and brick cheese, finished with fresh baby arugula and a balsamic drizzle. Delicious!!
Service is good it’s the food I have a slight issue with. My husband ordered the cheapest burger and it made him feel very sick have no idea why but also my pasta tasted like Velveeta cheese and the ham was a weird additive to it. I guess the quality of food is my issue you’d think it would taste fresher than Velveeta cheese and nuked in a microwave. Don’t think we will go back unless it’s for the Stromboli but literally nothing else.
I have always loved the pizza at Old Chicago. It is a great place to have craft beer and awesome pizza! They have great service and jukebox there. ?
Service was amazing. Food for the most part was great. Would have gave 5 stars but they messed up one of our pizzas and only took $5 off the bill instead of the whole amount of the pizza that they messed up. Thai chicken pizza came with no chicken.
I do not like writing bad reviews. However, I am extremely disappointed in the service here. Especially from one waitress. We come in regularly on Thursdays and Sundays. Usually we come in an hour or more before the dining room closes. We try to be courteous and leave good tips. Despite this we continually get rude service from one particular waitress. She always acts like we are a huge inconvenience and extremely mean and rude to my party.I have put up with this for over a year and I am upset with the situation. Tonight was the last straw. We walked in later then usual and I was prepared to sit in the bar since it was so late. I did not want to just walk in because I didn’t know if we needed to be seated or not. The waitress saw us and took a long time coming over to us and when she did she came with a huge attitude didn’t even look at us, walked by and said “bar is open seating” and kept walking. We left and went to Applebee’s. It was unfortunate because I was really looking forward to eating there. I am considering not going back to the location anymore with the rude service we have been receiving.
We got some calzones and wings, and they were amazing! It's probably one of the best calzones I've ever had! Our waitress was working hard to take care of our large group, and we are all happy.
Came in at 6pm, tons of empty tables got seated wait for a server for ten minutes, server helped the table next to us that got there ten minutes after us first. Order food and wait for 45 minutes for our which was cold when we got it. Server didn’t try to bring some bread sticks or anything. Eat food which was ok but not great. Try to get a check but again says she will be right back but didn’t come right back . Had to stop her to pay for our food. That is an hour and forty minutes that I will never get back. Slow slow slow, and poor service sums it up best.
We were escorted to a table on the bar area and we asked if we could sit on the other side of the restaurant. The hostess said she would have to ask the other servers. I thought that was odd. We just sat there. Every table but two were full with people in the bar area. Lucky for us, we sat by the loudest cackling lady in the restaurant.Food took about 30 minutes to get to us. It was good and the service was good.I went to use the restroom before leaving and there was only two tables that had someone in them.I am wondering why we weren't able to sit there?It seems that my wants as a customer to sit elsewhere were not that important to them.
This is probably the single worst old Chicago I've ever dined at, the service is painfully slow, everytime I go there or order pickup they take so long and when I get my food it's usually cold, management is terrible and rude, I just ordered some nachos curbside and it's been a whole hour, and they refuse to answer the phone. Do not dine here it's a waste of time.
The first pizza we ordered was just plain gross. After waiting 30 minutes. We ordered another pizza and it was gross after waiting another 20 minutes. There was very little cheese or toppings on the pizza. The flavor was terrible. Some of the worst pizza I have ever had. Our server was wonderful not a problem with the waitress. I have been there in the past and it was great. Hopefully you can get back to the way you used to make pizza. Very disappointed ☹️
