This is easily the best barbecue in south Denver, and definitely rivals anywhere in the state. The burnt ends are tender and terrific every time. The sausage links are better than anywhere else. Service is always great and friendly. Love this place.

Food smelled great, but we went late and food tasted a little old and dry. I’ll probably go back at an earlier hour and I’m sure it’ll be an easy 4 stars, at least. Very similar to Rolling Smoke.Update on 7.26.21I went back around 4:30 in the afternoon to give it another shake, which is what the picture is from, and I'd give it 3.5/5 stars if I could. It was a little better than last time, but still just not great. Flavors didn't pop, and it just doesn't taste that fresh to me. The hot link, home made sauces, texas toast, and mac n cheese were all very tasty- but you've got to bring home the big meats at a BBQ joint. I'll rate each individual item:Pulled Pork: 3/5Burnt Ends: 2/5Hot Link: 4/5Mac N Cheese: 4/5Texas Toast: 4/5Sauces (Spicy and Colorado Gold): 5/5Iced Tea: 2/56/7/22: second picture is same meal ordered a year later. Burnt ends were definitely burnt, in a bad way. Hot link was 2.5/5 and pork was 3.5/5.I’m just going to stick with GQue BBQ if I’m in South Denver.

Pork was bone dry. Turkey was flavorful, but sliced so thin that bit was annoying to try to dip in sauce. Mac & chz had a funky finish to it. Not sure if it’s the choice of cheese or some spice, but I didn’t finish it, and I never leave cheese behind!

I ordered DoorDash from here. The coleslaw I ordered was good but the quantity over the price was ridiculous. Door dash labeled coleslaw as a side for roughly $4. I was expecting a decent side but I got a finger food coleslaw.Aside from that food was great, so go in person vs DoorDash.

A pleasant surprise. Stopped by here last week for happy hour and to check out the food. Our appetizer, a mexican egg roll was phenomenal. Much better than expected, fresh and "made with love". And the pulled pork sandwich was equally delicious with a light mustard that complemented the smoky pork favor. Our server was great, laid back and kinda fun, but also really professional. I'll be going back to try the French Dip soon.

Heard it was great - they didn't dissapoint! Excellent food BBQ selection and quality (between my wife and I we tried 4 different meats). Friendly and fast service. Good beers and pricing. We'll go back.

The bartender/server was wonderful. She was friendly and attentive, even being the only one out on the floor. Food came out quickly. Unfortunately the brisket was very dry. The pork belly wasn't like most places, it was more like thick sliced bacon cooked in the fryer. The ribs lacked seasoning and still had the silver skin on them. They kind of tasted like they threw them in the fryer to warm them up.

In an area that lacks great restaurants and is heavy on chains, Rusty Tapp is a rare great local option. Wings are phenomenal with plenty of other great options (burnt ends, hot links, and prime rib are other favorites). One of the few spots that can pull off crispy smoked wings. Prime Rib Dip is the best in the area. Service is always fast and friendly even when busy. Small but great tap list also (including Comrade and Wibby).

Definitely a hidden gem! Came for lunch for the first time and the food was AMAZING! Their Mac and cheese was the best I have ever had. BBQ meats were cooked perfectly. I highly recommend this place!!!

Awesome food, fair prices, great portions, and the service was stellar even though I think there was only a single waitress.Lots of locally sourced stuff as well, we will definitely be back.
