Pei Wei used to be a stand by, but the food was horrible. I got the Bourbon Chicken with the salad greens. The chicken was so old it seemed crystallized and the peppers in the greens were slimy. The noodles in the kids meal were a solid gob and the honey seared chicken (which we've ordered many times in the past) was sub par at best. This was a huge let down given I know how good the food can be here.
Man, Pei Wei used to be great. After this last trip I’d rather eat at Panda Express. The rice was a soggy, clumpy mess. The chicken was over cooked. Several of our favorite menu items are gone.I did feel bad for the manager. She was incredibly nice. She was trying hard with a short staff and an overload of delivery app orders. The food took a long time. No big deal, we understand places are short right now. When the staff is friendly and trying their best as these folks were it all they can do. But, the quality of the product was absolutely terrible.
It's been years since my husband and I have had Pei Wei, but we picked it up on a whim on Mother's Day. Everything was so good that we ordered it again less than a week later. Personally, I think the quality of food has gotten so much better. We had chicken lettuce wraps, firecracker chicken, crispy tofu lo mein, and the little dessert donut things. Everything was fresh and delicious. Can't wait to come back!
This is the second time we have gotten food without sauce on it. It also appears the food is not cooked all the way through. The Yum Yum Shrimp was pretty good.We ordered extra sauce on the side for the teriyaki chicken which was missing along with the sauce that was supposed to be on the teriyaki chicken.
The rice is always drenched in the sauce from the chicken. The whole bowl is like a soup. Might have to start asking for the rice on the side or something but the portions have improved
I had the firecracker chicken and my husband had the orange chicken. Both were a bit greasy and the portions were smaller than expected. All in all not as good as it used to be.
I ordered the won ton soup and an egg roll- was sick after I ate it. This place is not the same after Covid…. Stop using single use plastic and bring back the poke bowl! Offer some better healthy options instead of one salad. Will go back and hope for a better experience …
Have always been satisfied with food in the past. 2 days ago bought 4 ontrays all with checking or beef, there were like 6 small chicken places a few vestibule mostly rice. Flaver was ok but very poor value for the cost, will not be returning.
Ordered lunch and got enough chicken with my meal to sustain maybe a 5 year old paired with dry rice. Rough day buddy.
Ordered takeout for lunch and food was tasty. They got our large order right and it was still hot after we got home 30 minutes later. The curbside was very convenient. We may stop here again after play street!
