Being from Brooklyn we were really excited to try this spot based on all the great reviews but it was unfortunately a bit underwhelming. Service was really friendly and they were quite crowded during lunchtime - a popular spot. The cold cuts and sandwiches themselves were fine but pretty basic, nothing outside of something we could make at home. Reminded us of the type of prepacked sandwich you get at a catered work convention or during an excursion on vacation. Fine, but nothing outstanding or unique to note. For around $12 each the sandwiches also felt kind of small. I get that ingredients are expensive these days though. Biggest thing is that I really wish they would use wax coated paper to wrap their sandwiches instead of saran wrap - we took ours to go (live 5 minutes away) and the tightly wrapped plastic made our hot sandwiches incredibly soggy and wet when we got home to eat them. I believe I read that the bread is house made but we didn't really get to enjoy it for that reason.

Their sandwiches are great, and their interior featured a lot of Marilyn Monroe imagery. It's well worth a visit if you enjoy local sandwich shops.

Don’t let the outside appearance stop you. My first visit and it was excellent. Extensive hot and cold sandwich menu. My sandwich was very good and the macaroni salad was perfect. The lady taking orders could not have been more friendly. I will definitely be back.

Honestly, the food is really good. But you can never predict when they will be open, so it’s not worth making a trip, knowing you will probably be met with a locked door.

Quaint feel to this place that seems and tastes like you've stepped into some joint in an old part of town in Chicago or NYC. Good food served in a respectable portion with really fresh, delicious meats on the hand-crafted deli sandwich.

It was ok. Been there forever staff was Awesome just need wider selection of beverages. Bread was a bit dry but food was good

We tried the cheesesteak sandwich and calzone -- excellent! Friendly and personable service -- highly recommended for a delicious lunch!

I popped in after goggle mapping "Italian deli." Imagine that, they were open. I figured with all the whining about hours I was gonna be doomed. I am a connoisseur of "Italian heros" aka "classic Italian" aka "Italian sub." So I'll review my Sicilian. Took 15 minutes to get because other people actually ordered before me. The real reason it took 15 is because the dude was slicing everything thin and fresh like a sandwich should be. Thin lettus, thin onions, thin meats. One bite goes right through not like pulling out a 3 ft onion or some fatty meat. The sandwich had excellent texture and excellent flavor. The bread was soft and fresh. The lady up front brought it out with a smile. I want to try other "Italian hero" versions here but this one was definitely my new favorite. Who is the dude busting chops on the one star review writers? I want to buy that cat a beer!

Went in on a Saturday afternoon and was happy to eat some tasty food. Service was kind, food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The person there gave us to free sides of pasta salad. I got the italian combo sandwich. It was good with plenty of cold cuts and dressing the bread was not my favorite. My partner got the hot capicola and that was killer. Food price is a little steep, but I would come back.

Incredible sandwiches. Everything on the menu is top notch. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic Italian Combo!
